Books you had no idea existed and quite rare .Bookshops are a gift to our communities. Love them back. Bookmark has been trading in Falmouth, Cornwall since 1997 .From 2004 I moved into the industry. I bought the shop and it's then stock as a novice. Thinking I"d be here for a few years. Nearly 16 years later I'm still here and loving it still. I run my shop with a purpose and meaning and not jus

t selling books. It goes much deeper than that and folk who come here feel it too. I buy from people and sell to people. As a professional business-woman with the human-touch, nothing is too much bother and I love personal contact, so do call, email or drop into the shop for a chat. I am happy to consider single volumes, medium or large collections. My books have captured the hearts of the people of Falmouth with something for everyone: historian, student, hobbyist, artist, crafter, lover of humour and the classics. Some have a daily ritual to come and view my window display.

One of if not my first book deal I went to I bought this book 19 years ago. I'd never bought book collections let alone sell books. I went with instinct and what I liked. I just loved this dear little book. It's been stored away as I never wanted it to sell. It has my book career history to it and so much beauty. This book would have been the primary means through which children gained a picture of the world at large and gleamed information about faraway places and their inhabitants. Descriptions not politically correct but not meant with malice. It's just the author's description 115 years ago and generalised. We don't live there anymore thankfully. I still love each and every description of these beautiful babies of the world. The author May Byron was born in 1861. It's rare as he's teef

You completed dry Jan loved it so much you thought you'd roll over the dryness through February. However it's Saturday night and you fancy a glug of the vin, you've done enough... Do it sophisticatedly and with a touch more class than a Isla negra grab or a jam Shed from the local supermarket. This book has 665 pages ( won't have time for a drop) to change and improve your relationship with wine
