👻 OUR SENSORY-FRIENDLY DAY IS BACK FOR 2026! 👻

We've already had lots of lovely messages asking whether we'll be holding our Sensory-Friendly Day again this Halloween…

And we're delighted to say YES, WE ARE! 🧡

📅 THURSDAY 29TH OCTOBER 📍 136 Boslowick Road, Falmouth, TR11 4QF

At Boslowick Halloween Fundraiser, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy a little Halloween magic! ✨

We know that for some children and adults, the flashing lights, sudden movements and spooky sounds can feel a little overwhelming.

💜 That's why we're once again dedicating a day to making our display as welcoming and accessible as possible.

🎃 What can you expect?

🐾 A chance to explore our Halloween garden at your own pace.

🔊 Sounds and lighting can be adjusted to suit individual needs if you contact us in advance.

♿ Wheelchair-friendly access, with wide pathways around the display.

🧡 A relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where everyone can enjoy Halloween in their own way.

Our display is open to visitors throughout the day and night, but Thursday 29th October is our dedicated Sensory-Friendly Day.

There's no pressure, no expectations — just come along, explore and enjoy yourselves! 🥰

As always, we're proudly raising funds for The Last Chance Hotel, helping dogs and other animals who need a second chance. 🐾❤️

💜 PLEASE SHARE THIS POST! 💜

We'd love to reach as many families as possible, especially those who might otherwise miss out on enjoying a Halloween display.

We can't wait to welcome you! 🎃👻

You may have already heard of the (Society of Independent Brewers) October campaign to , asking the chancellor to lower the Duty rate for draught b**r. This would give some relief to an industry that has suffered severely over the last few years, and ultimately help reduce the price of a pint in a pub.
This Friday 9th October, we have been selected to take part in the day- where we'll be selling drink-in draught b**r at £3.70 a pint. This reduced price reflects what our prices could look like if we paid the same draught duty as our fellow brewers in Germany- and how this could translate to sale prices in pubs. We'll still have takeaway options available as usual, but the discount will only apply to drink in b**r, while stocks last.

🍺 PUBS ARE SO EXPENSIVE: PART 3 🍫

Ok, let’s look at this again, in the only way that EVERYONE understands the economy…

⏳ Minimum wage in 2005 was £5.05 and a Freddo was 10p.
🤩 One hour of work got you 50 Freddos!

Fast forward to 2026…

⏳ Minimum wage is £12.71 and a Freddo is 35p.
😢 One hour of work now only gets you 36 of them!

That's a 152% rise in pay, but a 250% rise in the cost of delicious frog-shaped chocolate bars! 📈

If wages had kept pace with the price of Freddos, the minimum wage would now be £17.68 an hour! 💸

By comparison:

⏳ Minimum wage in 2005 would buy you roughly 2 pints of b**r per hour.
⏳ Now, in 2026, it will buy you about 2.5 pints!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: pubs are not expensive. 📣

The cost of living is horrific. The external pressures on all of our finances right now are soul-destroying. We get it. Everyone is fu***ng skint. Everyone is struggling! 😰

But stop blaming pubs.

We are not being “greedy”.

Most landlords are earning less than ever - personally, I earn less than £6/hr for the hours I work, and I know a lot of publicans are earning even less! 😔

We are effectively subsidising you being able to have a pint!

Because if I charged what I needed to in order to earn a decent wage myself, I’d be selling b**r at £12 a pint right now! 💸😢

TELL ME YOUR THOUGHTS BELOW! 👇👇👇
Because I’m, somehow, still getting the “but, they ARE expensive because…” comments! 🙄

There's a busy weekend ahead if you enjoy drinking b**r at festivals- and who doesn't! First up is St Austell Brewery b**r festival in the County Arms, Truro, find us in the lineup there. For those up north, there is Preston Fest at The Preston Gate Inn in Bude. And for those in the south east, head over to for some as part of their weekend celebrations. And of course the brewery will be open on Friday afternoon/evening for drink in or takeaway.
