🥩 Our Home-Reared Belted Galloway Beef

We’re pleased to let you know that our family’s home-grazed Belted Galloway beef will be delivered to the shop tomorrow, freshly prepared by our butcher.

Renowned for its exceptional flavour, tenderness and beautiful marbling, our Belted Galloway beef is slow reared, at home, with their mothers.

As it comes from our families own small herd, it’s only available when we have cattle ready, so if you’ve been waiting for it, now’s the time! And, if you have tried Belted Galloway beef, it is delicious!

Alongside our usual selection of cuts in the farm shop, we also have a limited number of 1/8 beef boxes available – perfect for BBQ’s or stocking the freezer with a fantastic selection of premium beef.

🌿 Join our team 🌿

We are excited to be recruiting for two permanent full-time roles at Baileys.

We are looking for people with a positive attitude, plenty of common sense and willingness to roll their sleeves up. If you enjoy making people feel welcome, take pride in doing a good job and are not afraid of hard work, we would love to hear from you.

This is a varied, hands on role. It includes serving customers, replenishing stock, helping customers load compost, animal feed and other heavy purchases, receiving deliveries, keeping the shop and outside area looking its best, and generally mucking in wherever needed. It is a physical active role, working both indoors and outdoor outdoors, so you will need to be comfortable lifting and carrying heavy items.

Whether you are just starting out or looking for a fresh challenge, do not put off if you have not done a role like this before. If you have got the right attitude, plenty of common sense and a willingness to learn we would love to hear from you.

We are proud to offer the kind of personal service that is becoming hard harder to find. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and we are lucky to have a supportive team and a real sense of community.

St Petrocs - Supporting people facing homelessness in Cornwall 🙏

This week we have been getting another donation ready for St Petroc’s, who will be collecting it from us soon.

After St Petroc’s put out an appeal for much needed sleeping bags and other essential items, we wanted to help. As a business, we have personally donated 10 new sleeping bags, hoping they’ll provide a little warmth and comfort to those who need them most.

In June, Simon and I were invited to give a talk on compost and gardening to Devoran Gardening Club. As a thank you for our time, the club very kindly made a donation, and we felt there was no better way to use it than to buy another five sleeping bags for St Petroc’s.

Alongside the sleeping bags, we’ve also filled a collection bin with clothing, toiletries and other essential items, all generously donated by our wonderful community of customers.

A great big thank you to Devoran Gardening Club and to everyone who has supported our St Petroc’s collection. It’s amazing what can be achieved when a community comes together.
