Gavin has decided these super cool snares deserve a new home and who better to help with the process, than Graham Russell?! 😎

These drums, owned and used by Gavin himself will be hitting our eBay page at 8:30pm (BST) today and running for 1 week. Both are in great condition, especially for their age and also wear batter heads signed by Gavin.

These drums are being sold via auction ONLY and will not be available on our website or in-store.

Another insane week at GRD! We've had a TONNE of second hand gear come in, including about 8 delightful kits and a very special Brady Jarrah Block Baritone snare... We used to list all this stuff on here but it's coming in far too quickly and Luke has found his first grey hair... He photographed about 80 cymbals last week, ands there's probably another 20+ ready to go through to him. Oh, not to mention the snares, hardware, cases and accessories. There's actual steam coming out of his room.

You read that right, Eric Moore is coming to Southampton!

Gretsch artist, Eric Moore is an American drummer, producer, and educator known for his explosive chops and deep pocket. After winning the 2003 Guitar Center Drum-Off, he launched a high-profile touring career, performing with Bobby Brown and Sly & the Family Stone. Moore later became widely recognised in the rock/metal world through his work with Infectious Grooves, Suicidal Tendencies, and the progressive fusion project T.R.A.M. Blending gospel-rooted feel with extreme speed and precision, he’s also a key figure in the GospelChops movement and has inspired a global audience through clinics, online lessons, and viral performances.

We are incredibly excited for this one and are sure we can comfortably assume you are too, so we’ve decided to take this to Hanger Farm in Totton (Ash Soan, Thomas Lang).

Last night was a lot of fun! Tom Aimson of Guilt Trip opened up the evening with a 25 minute set of blistering playing, showing off the fact that the newest Roland modules and triggers can handle even some of the most intense playing. Not only that, but Tom was an absolute gent and hugely accommodating. Tom has a bright future ahead! Graham and Tom sat down earlier to have a chat which I’m sure we’ll be sharing in the coming days…

Then for the main event, the exciting, funny and charismatic Mr Michael Schack gave us 2 hours of a unique take on mixing as a live DJ using only Roland products as well as explaining how the technology they use is a cut above the rest and why they are the leading brand in electronics.

Both artists were an absolute delight, something you don’t always get. I can assure you, it goes a long way!

Thank you to everyone who made it out, we know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but judging by the feedback we’ve received from those who came, it went down incredibly well!

Shout out to ROLAND for organising the event, and a special thank you to Mike Thomas for being the man on the ground for the day. The hero we all need, but don’t always deserve!

If you joined us at the Ash Soan event on Tuesday, you may remember there being a prize draw for a FREE Sontronics SOLO Microphone, an absolutely fantastic vocal or snare drum mic... MUCH better than the SM58/SM57 that everyone seems to assume hasn't been beaten since the 90's...

Ash himself kindly signed the mic and box!

Drum wizard and all-round legend GABOR DORNYEI - Drummer, Artist Page is hosting a 2-day drum camp in London in a September... Apparently there's a couple of spaces left...

Gabor is a monumental drummer as well as a fantastic speaker and educator.If you have the time/or money to do it then we'd strongly recommend you do!
