What a perfect way to start off a hot and sweaty week 🔥☀️ than with this super cool Gretsch USA in the weirdly named, Caribbean Blue... Nope, this isn't that blue/black or white/gold dress thing from a few years ago... This kit is GREEN! 🟢

Joel was desperate to play this kit the second it came through the door so we captured his first blast on it, and as you can hear, it sounds exactly as you expect a Gretsch to sound. We're in love 😍.

This kit is USED, but there is not a mark on it, the heads are original and at the time of this post have only been played once, by Joel.

Say what you will about Mapex, but they don't half make some incredible drums! This Mapex Black Panther Design Lab 'Cherry Bomb' kit in Rose Burst is absolutely unreal! 🍒

Last night was absolutely fantastic! Jost Nickel was not only on fire 🔥 behind the kit, but he was a wealth of incredible knowledge, a barrel of laughs and a delight to be around. We purposefully kept this one smaller and more intimate, despite being able to sell it out 5 times over and we all agree it was the right decision.

We have plenty of photo's and videos from the night that we're working through as we speak, but in the meantime we'd love to hear your thoughts on how it went last night and what you've taken away from it.

Here’s one for you… the Guru Segmented Padauk Stave kit 🔥

There have been countless custom and boutique drum builders over the years, many of which have come and gone for one reason or another. Every so often though, one leaves behind a lasting legacy as one of the very best to ever do it. Guru, a two-man outfit from Hereford 🇬🇧 are exactly that.

In a lifespan of roughly seven years, Guru produced some of the most exquisite custom drums money could buy, stopping only due to ill health in 2019.

This absolute 🍑 is the Segmented Stave, made entirely from solid Padauk (harder than oak but not quite as hard as bubinga). The stave pieces are set horizontally and staggered for increased structural stability, and the longer you look at this kit, the more impressive it becomes. You get a small glimpse of just how much work went into building it. 🤯

We absolutely adore this kit. Oh yeah… and it sounds ridiculous too. Here’s Joe proving it.

The kit originally arrived with a matching snare which has since sold separately, so we paired it with the Brady Jarrah Ply snare we also currently have in stock. It only seemed right to bring two drum-building legends together.
