The Chesapeake Mill is a beautiful example of a historic building being reborn into a unique retail outlet full of exiting merchandise. The Mill itself is of architecturalortance as a fine example of the re-use of salvage timber in construction - though the shell is brick all structural members within are of timber, most from the frigate 'Chesapeake' a warship captured by the Royal Navy in 1812 du

ring a war. The Mill, at the time, was considered to be a very modern buildingin design - and throughout the years has played and important part to Wickham and the surrounding Meon Valley.
