Meet Hermione Thomson 🌿 the local artist we’re thrilled to be working with this October for Farnham Craft Month.

Using regenerative, natural materials and hand dyed textiles, Hermione is creating ‘Fleeting’, a new outdoor installation coming to the Yard, inspired by the shadows and forms of foliage found right here in Farnham.

We’re not giving too much away just yet, but expect something that moves with the wind, shifts in the light, and changes throughout the month...

Alongside her main art practise producing large scale works, Jen also captures simplistic miniatures. We love what she created after a day spent in the yard.

‘I love making these small, simple pieces of places and people that I love. They are a way of experimenting with colours and styles that do not often show up in my main work. I’ve loved Lion and Lamb Yard for as many years as I’ve lived in Farnham. It has been a place for reflection, contemplation and planning for me and I most love to sit on the bench under the Indian bean tree’
