That's the end of another mantic week at Expert HQ. Below is a slice of what we've been doing.

We went to a local repair call a few days ago that was thought to be a simple fix. Something that seemed easy quickly turned into a complete reinstallation as (without going into too much detail) our engineers were not at all happy with how they found the appliance. It turned out that it was only recently sold and fitted by another apparent reputable, well-endorsed company.
On the other hand we can safely guarantee that all of our installations and repairs are completed to the highest standards possible EVERY TIME. I cleaned my oven and hob at the weekend as it was getting a bit beyond wiping it. I try and do it once every couple of weeks and prefer not to use harsh chemicals if I can help it. Here's a quick demonstration of how we clean glass, it's quick and easy if done fairly regularly.

1.) Get your glass cleaner and apply to the surface (oven door, hob ect). The dirtier the surface, the more you should apply

2.) Spread evenly with your fingers or damp cloth and leave for 5-10 mins

3.) Sprinkle a small amount of water over the surface and start shifting the cleaner from one side to the other with a safety razor blade. It's important to keep the blade on the glass and at a low, shallow angle to avoid scratching (see picture 5). Sweep the blade gently going two steps forward and one step back, putting slightly more pressure on dirty areas. You can also redistribute the cleaner and sweep up and down the surface for thorough coverage

4.) Wipe the surface clean with a wet cloth and then dry with a tea towel or e-cloth. The process may need to repeated later if some grease and food debris remains.

Have you had a retailer refuse to connect your oven? Did you go to install a new one and the cable was the wrong size? Have you ordered something that doesn't fit?

Buying a new oven isn't as easy as it used to be. Some machines are hardwired, some can be plugged in. We know what to look out for and give expert advice at the point of sale, no matter the appliance.

For built-in ovens and freestanding cookers, pay £98.90 (local rate only) for our complete delivery/installation and removal package and we take care of any alterations that we are capable of doing (e.g cable change, junction box connection, socket installation, woodwork ect). If we can go the extra mile to complete the job then obviously we will.
Compared to our major online competitors for this service, we are cheaper by a minimum of £30 for cookers and £44 for built-in ovens!
