Yesterday’s flowers

it was a busy one as the monthly seasonal subscriptions left the flowers studio, as it was the last Friday of July.

How can it be the 1st August already!!!

Sorry there were no Friday flowers again as I had a few pre orders so the flowers all sold out before I had a chance to advertise them.

Loved this week’s colour palette of pale soft pinks, peach & apricot.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Emma & Sam’s Official Wedding album is here.

Emma Jepson & Sam Jepson got married on a beautiful sunny June day, I loved Emma’s energy from the initial bridal consultation and the fact her mum & nan were bridesmaids. Sam’s car was also amazing and loved the photos of the happy couple in it.

Helen you captured their day perfectly and you can see & feel the love.

Flowers from yesterday.

I read a post from a flower farmer recently about growing & curating from what’s best in the field. It really resonated with me as the same is true from my cutting garden. I get to pick & select the best blooms ensuring freshness and each design is completely different and unique.

25 plus years ago when I worked in a shop I had to copy designs from a book and that just squashes all creativity.

Getting to work with nature and the seasons is a true gift and I find it truly inspiring.

Today in trying to have a day off but now heading into the garden to deadhead I’m desperately trying to keep my sweet peas going for a wedding next week!

Mind you as the saying goes if you love what you do you’ll never work a day in your life.

So normally I really dislike photos of myself & yes I am definitely camera shy & not photogenic at all.

However when Helen Kirkman Photography has captured these images of me working I don’t mind them. I guess it’s because a professional photographer knows what they are doing & I definitely prefer natural photos as posed ones.

So out of my comfort zone I’m putting these images on my socials.

I’m just waiting for confirmation from the bride & will share more photos of their wedding day soon I hope.

Late post from me today.

I was on a mission to get my admin upto date & then plant the last bed of dahlias and Ta da they are finally all in the ground.

We do need some heavy rain though, the ground is so hard in the borders, I tried to transplant some plants from the raised beds & it was tough going digging.

They will need watering until they are established & yes I’m doing this with watering cans each evening.

Saturday morning was a busy one!

Some gorgeous hand tied bouquets left the flower studio, although delivery was in the afternoon as Felixstowe came to a stand still for the annual carnival.

We were meant to go out with friends to listen to some live music but honestly I was too tired so all social plans were cancelled to rest with Mr T on the couch watching TV.

Off to Bury St Edmunds now to help our daughter move into her new house, don’t think I’ll be going much later either!!

Happy Sunday

Gutted to have missed Adam Frost & Arit Anderson, BBC Gardeners' World presenters but I was super excited that Catherine from fanatical botanical got to meet them.

If you’re heading to Sandringham Estate for the The RHS show please visit her stand 709 and say hello.

Her solid hand cream is amazing for gardening hands and it’s completely organic.

The random hand tied bouquet is the only photo I took yesterday as tiredness took over. I’m sorry there were no yesterday too.

Today after a full nights sleep (I’m determined to be more productive today) I’ll be delivering orders before the roads become gridlocked with the Felixstowe carnival today & then I’m catching up on jobs in the cutting garden.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend

Flowers have slowly started to leave the flower studio again.

I’ve started to listen to my body, today no alarm was set as I needed to catch up on sleep after a very busy week.

I know it’s Friday & some of you are waiting for Friday flowers, if I have any spare bunches I will advertise them around 2pm & deliver later on today.

I needed a slow morning on the couch in pjs drinking coffee….

Back home & back flowering today.

The best way to see the show gardens The RHS Sandringham Estate was as the show closed last night.

I skipped drinks & had a quick walk round, with no crowds I got some great photos and felt like I had them all to myself for a moment.

Good luck today fanatical botanical & * Handmade * Gifts * Preloved * Maker * Vintage * & have a successful rest of the show.
