It’s Friday which means

This week is a sunny Autumn vibe.

It is now past the Autumn Equinox which this year was Wednesday 23rd September

For me this means seed sowing is in full swing.

This year I let a lot of flowers go to seed in the cutting garden with the purpose of saving seeds. This feels more intentional to grow with nature. It also means I get a lot more plants that have already self seeded & this is also the perfect time of year to move them if they are not in the right position.

Cornflowers have self seeded in the gravel pathways between the beds & I know next season they will be in the way & get trampled on.

The light levels & weather are now changing & I feel on a dry day it’s important get outside to do some jobs in the garden.

Autumn is coming you can feel it in the air.

Lots of flowers left the flower studio Friday & Saturday.

Yesterday I popped to the Marquis for their Wedding fair & look at a few things for R&L’s Wedding in November.

Then we had a roast dinner at home, as it is that time of year.

I embrace the seasons I live Autumn cozy nights in, soup, seed sowing, & the cutting garden slowing down.

Dahlias are the stars of the show in the cutting garden at the moment.

I love their blousy blooms.

Today is a full day sowing seeds in the greenhouse, this time of year is when next year’s flowers start.

It’s Friday & yes that means

But they’ve all sold out already!!!

It’s also the last Friday of the month which means it’s subscription flowers too.

And just like that the Christmas Wreath Workshop’s are sold out for 2026 already!!!!

The last couple of weeks has taught me a thing or two & so no I’m sorry but I’ll not be putting on any extra dates this year.

I’ve learnt it’s ok to say no, yet to do it without apologising but every day is a learning day & work in progress.

The cutting garden is still producing gorgeous British seasonal cut flowers.

This vase arrangement was for LN Aesthetics Skin and Health Clinic

Actually booked in for a Derma-planning facial later on today with Laura. I always want to call this beard shaving.

After my holiday really taking Wednesdays off & shortly going to Pilates with a friend too.

Sometimes you just need to reset

Scrolling through my photos this morning, I realised I forgot to post this gorgeous funeral tribute for a much loved husband.

My client wanted a show stopping large 6ft arrangement to cover the top of the casket in whites with a hint of pale blue.

Each farewell arrangement is unique & I offer a private consultation in my flower studio so I can get to know you & your loved one a little.

Back home after a lovely relaxing holiday in Corfu.

It wasn’t the most relaxing start (if you know me personally, you know) but once we arrived at the resort it was quiet & tranquil.

Feel like I’ve completely had a reset before Autumn.

Of course I took flowery photos the gardens around the resort were stunning & I’d never seen a banana flower.

Everyday is a learning day after all, if anything this holiday has taught me to slow down.

This week will be a slow return to work the web-shop is back up & I’ll be back flowering from tomorrow.
