Gooood Morning all! 🌟 🦊

A quick post from me to let you know that my store closed for Christmas on Tuesday 13th of December, last orders are Monday 12th ✨

I thought it was time to call it quits this year with the Royal Mail strikes, it’s cause a little bit of havoc for small business owners. Huge delays and a higher risk of post not arriving in time for Christmas is not worth taking chances on.

However I’m happy to drop off orders locally and do have a market at the gorgeous this Saturday evening 💛

I tell you what “Post Anxiety” is such a real thing.

I’m often seemingly absent from this account, though behind the screen I’m scrolling, liking and interacting with others. I just get a little anxious about sharing things, on the off chance that they; don’t get seen by followers, if they do they don’t get likes or comments or whether my audience even likes the work that I’m displaying.

In truth my engagement and sales have been down by about 60% based on where I was last year - eek! The numbers make it sound scary. I’m learning not to focus on the numbers game and try to enjoy “creating” for me first and foremost. Art is such a big part of my daily life that I don’t want to feel anxious or nervous about sharing things that I’ve produced or only focusing on the sell, sell, sell society we have become.

Do you also feel post anxiety? How did you overcome it?

Autumn really is my favourite season… there’s that familiar chill in the air, the nights are drawing in Halloween is just around the corner.

It’s the school holidays next week so I’ve been spending the last few evenings working on a big commission and getting my store back up and running again. There may even be a few new cards in the works 👀

Well hello!, I’m so glad you’re still here!👋🏻

Genuinely mortified that it’s been so long since I’ve posted on this account 😬

Since Christmas my day job got wayyyy busier, then I bought a house, moved to said house, got a new car (yay! 🚘) amongst a million other things.

Creativity has taken quite the back seat recently. Such is life. However, I think I’ve given my the arty side of my mind enough rest to get back into things again. Hurrah! How are you all? WHAT HAVE I MISSED?! 😘
