Welcome to the Emporium that is Room for Change. My shop is full of slightly quirky objects using what has been produced already. It has its own particular style and has lots of things that are stimulating to look at or fun to wear. Room for Change expresses a unique and exciting way in which to make our personal spaces a bit more original and the fashion at Room for Change helps convey a more per
sonal style. Here you'll find an eclectic mix of colourful sometimes vintage bazaar style pieces that are sometimes slightly kitsch, sometimes romantic and shabby chic but always visually stimulating and fun to wear or to have in your house. Some of the items for sale are vintage; they may have imperfections that tell the real history of the object. Some are creatively up-cycled where a broken castoff that has outlived its usefulness is transformed into a piece that is interesting and usable again. And some items are handmade but they are all lovingly made, often using recycled bits collected over a long time. Wherever possible recycled materials are used making up-cycled items. Useless bits and bobs can be converted into new products of better quality and higher value that can be useful for a long time. The materials are gathered together from auction rooms, car boot sales and charity shops and sometimes generously given for me to use. New items are added regularly so if you haven't found what you wanted today come back another time and you might be surprised to find it. Alternatively you can always send me and email and I will see what I can come up with. The items in the Emporium from Room for Change are all found, or created by me. A woman is jolly darn lucky if she can get up in the morning and get to bed at night and in between get to do what she wants to do. We all need to look at the way we behave as consumers which is not easy but in all of us and the world around us there is Room for Change. I am on a personal journey, come with me and be inspired.
