Silage season is underway in Finzean! Making the most of the dry weather, we’re harvesting grass now to provide nutritious feed for our cattle through the winter. It’s a busy time with long days, teamwork, and one eye on the forecast.

The fog came in quietly this morning, extending tendrils of mist to the ground and retreating in slow silence. The farm shop sat below all of it, familiar and unhurried. By mid-morning it was gone, burned off by whatever pale sun the day had to offer. But for a time the hills around Finzean held their secret, and the farm shop carried on below them, warm and solid, smelling of bacon rolls and fresh bread.

We are hiring!

Finzean Farm Shop is looking for a full-time Front of House Team Member to join our friendly team in September at our beautiful countryside location. The role is five days a week, Sunday to Thursday, 9am–5pm, with some flexibility. Duties include serving customers in the Farm Shop and café, taking orders, waitressing, stocking shelves and general front of house duties.

We are looking for someone friendly, reliable and enthusiastic who enjoys working with people in a busy environment. Previous hospitality or retail experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided.

We offer a supportive team environment, staff discount, barista training opportunities and room to progress into a Supervisor role.

UPDATE: the road is now open

Please be aware of the road closure if you are coming to Finzean from Banchory way.

Road closure commencing on 25th May for 5 days to allow for surface dressing prep.
Access will be provided for emergency and vehicles requiring access to properties but may be subject to delay until the road is cleared of construction plant to allow safe passage through the works.
