Rob Wigham Watercolours

Rob Wigham Watercolours A professional landscape painter living and working in the beautiful north of Scotland. Hi, I'm a professional artist working almost exclusively in watercolour.

Together with my wife, Sharon, we also produce giclee-quality prints from my paintings. I paint landscapes, especially those of the the north-east of Scotland where we live, and I also paint military aircraft. You can see all of these on our website at www.robwighamwatercolours.com. We have a wide range of prints available. All are available mounted just like my originals and often in a choice of

sizes. Again, please just check my website for details. My original paintings are created with artist's quality watercolour pigments on archival, mould-made cotton rag - the best quality paper available. We supply them mounted in archival-quality warm-white mountboard (and backed in material of the same quality), ready for you to frame. Our prints are printed by us on our professional giclee printer on archival matte paper so will not fade with time. I am also available for commissions of your choice. If you'd like to discuss any requirement, please just give us a shout on our business email at [email protected] or my mobile (cell) of 07854 195 189! I hope you enjoy a browse of our work! Cheers, Rob.

Here's a roundup of some of our Findhorn Collection of prints available through our website at www.robwighamwatercolours.com/nairn-to-findhorn.html . Findhorn is a gorgeous ex-fishing village with one of the best beaches on the Moray Firth and a fantastic tidal bay alongside. It's just one of the places featured in our prints collection along this lovely coastline!
You can see all our print galleries at www.robwighamwatercolours.com/our-prints.html - the prints make great gifts or keepsakes from a lovely holiday!

'Portgordon from the Old Railway Embankment', watercolour, 54 x 35 cm is the latest addition to our print range. The painting was done as a commission, but the owner was very kindly happy for us to make prints from it as I thought it turned out nicely! I get ripped to shreds by brambles for this view, but it was worth it! The print is available in 3 sizes - see www.robwighamwatercolours.com/kingstontoportessie.html for details!

'Coastal Patrol', watercolour, 59 x 37 cm. An RAF C Mk 1 Hercules coasts in over Scotland's west coast under some low cloud. The colour scheme of the aircraft is one of the older ones worn by this aircraft type. A commissioned painting for someone with a lot of connection with the Hercules, and this airframe in particular - which arrived in its forever home just yesterday!

A new addition to our print range: 'Cullen Bay', watercolour. It's the view from the steps below the Cullen Bay Hotel, looking down on Cullen Links, the golf course and the old railway line that runs over the viaduct into the heart of Cullen beyond. The original painting was sold prior to publication, but prints in 4 sizes are available at www.robwighamwatercolours.com/cullenbay.html where you can find full details!

Continuing on from last week's post of the updated old photograph, here's the partner painting - a proper house portrait - of this beautiful house in the modern day: 'Oakbank', watercolour, 59 x 38 cm. The detail on the house, including both stonework and stained glass windows were all important in this commissioned work. Such a characterful house, it was a joy to paint!

'On the Garden Steps', watercolour, 34 x 21 cm. A commissioned painting which brings to life a 100 year-old photograph. The owner of this beautiful house has a black and white photograph of a previous owner of the house sitting on the steps sometime in the 1920s or 30s with her dog. This painting brings the scene up to date with the current owner and dogs, but retaining the period clothing. What a joy it was to revisit a moment from a century ago in paint and colour in the same spot! I work with watercolour every day, but projects like this really bring home to me the power of a painting.
