🙏 Today the Church celebrates the Feast of St Bartholomew, Apostle.
As one of the Twelve Apostles, St Bartholomew left behind his former life to follow Christ and carry the Good News to others.
Traditionally identified with Nathanael in the Gospel of John, he responded to his encounter with Jesus with a powerful declaration:
“Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!” — John 1:49
His life reminds us that following Christ calls for faith, trust and courage — not only in extraordinary moments, but in the way we live our faith each day.

On the Memorial of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Church celebrates Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth; the Mother of Christ the King.
Her queenship is one of humility, love and service. From her wholehearted “yes” to God to her steadfast presence beside her Son, Mary shows us what it means to trust completely in God’s will.
“My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour.” — Luke 1:46–47
May Our Lady guide our hearts towards Christ, strengthen us in faith and help us follow her example of humble and faithful discipleship.

🙏 “My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour.” — Luke 1:46–47
Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, rejoicing in Mary being taken, body and soul, into heavenly glory.
Her Assumption is a beautiful sign of hope and a reminder of the promise of eternal life that awaits those who remain faithful to Christ.
The Immaculate Heart of Mary, so beautifully represented in this statue, reminds us of Mary’s loving heart; a heart completely devoted to God and always pointing us towards her Son.
May Our Lady help us to trust more deeply, love more generously and keep our hearts centred on Christ.

🕊️ A life given in love. A faith stronger than fear.
Today the Church celebrates the Memorial of St Maximilian Mary Kolbe, Priest and Martyr.
A Franciscan priest with a profound devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, St Maximilian remained steadfast in faith through persecution and imprisonment. At Auschwitz, he made the ultimate act of Christian charity by volunteering to die in place of another prisoner.
His sacrifice beautifully reflects the words of Christ:
“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13
As we remember him today, this St Maximilian Kolbe prayer card with an attached devotional medal can offer a quiet companion for prayer and a meaningful reminder of his extraordinary courage, compassion and trust in God.
