As promised - a spotlight on art collage prints: and this one is a real masterpiece! Semi-sheer, oversized, 90s shirt featuring images by Marie-Louis Pierre Vidal, a French painter, draughtsman and etcher born in Tours, Indre-et Loire. The images featured here were likely from the series of seventy watercolors, which Vidal executed between 1900 and 1913, depicting a detailed pictorial record of the daily life in Belle Époque Paris. Inspired by the celebrated Monument du Costume of the late eighteenth century, which showcased illustrations by Sigmond Freudeberg and Moreau le Jeune, his friend Béraldi who commissioned the works planned to publish Vidal's images in an édition de luxe. The outbreak of World War I, in 1914, put a halt to the project and the drawings were organized in three portfolios, instead, which is how they remain up to this day.

Nearly a century later, some clever print designer curated this selection of Vidal images, and had them reproduced on luxe semi-sheer viscose, giving them a new lease on life, and a new fashionable medium.
