With plenty of bass and mackerel being caught off our local beaches our selection of lures took a bit of a battering over the last few days.... needless to say we had 2 deliveries yesterday so the shelves are rammed again!

What better way to enjoy a nice warm evening.
After we closed the shop yesterday we decided to hit a local club lake to see if Nicky Hill could catch her first carp off the surface. Needless to say she did catching 6 in just 2 hours using simple dog biscuits. The biggest fish went to 10lb.

Now to see if we can find her a smooth hound tonight.

We are open today until 2, bank holiday Monday from 8.30ish til 5pm.

Weekend hound trip.

Myself and a couple of friends headed to north Kent to try to find some hounds
Its safe to say we found them with the biggest going just over 8lb nothing massive but some good sport.
Baits used was mainly frozen peeler crab and frozen king prawn, bluey and squid.
Ryan managed to christen his new tronixpro rod and Dave borrowed one of my leeda icons as he damaged his zziplex on our last trip. The icon I'd 7oz rod he was using he was so impressed hes just ordered his own one via us. Priced at just £149.99 you get a lot fo rod for your money.

Anyway.... we have loads of new stock due in this week from the new leeda 9ft spinning rods priced at less than £30!

Lures and feathers!

With mackerel showing in more consistent numbers now and plenty of bass showing right through from Folkestone to Hythe (both of the beach and pier)
Its time to dust off that spinning gear!
We have just taken delivery of bass lures, feathers etc along with spinning rods and reels.

Its finally bank holiday weekend and the weather dont look too bad!
Mackerel have been showing quite regular over the course of the week. Plenty of bass about too!

I dont know where this person brought their worm from and I am not for 1 minute suggesting or implying it was from us however..... how many adults would love to catch a bass like this from sandgate. The smile on this 4 year old face says it all.

If you want to try for a bass like this then pop in amd see us and we can give you some advice if needed as to some possible locations, rigs worth trying, baits to try.

Of course we do have some really good fresh worm in stock and a range of frozen baits.

Well done to this young lad. Let's hope there is many more smiles like this (if their parents take them fishing again thst is)
