Last week the hanging baskets were put out at the Cross. We are trialling some new self watering ones too.
Sadly these have been vandalised already with plants and soil being strewn around. Two of our team found the damage and cleared it up and they have been replanted.
If anyone saw anything please do let the police know.

Our Aileen, by virtue of her proximity to this end of town, works hard to keep the Zoar tidy. The other day while she was busy strimming the grassy area, two gardeners stopped and offered help. With their mowers they got the grass cut in record time and saved her a lot of time and effort. They wanted no formal recognition but we extend out thanks to these local heroes.
It’s looking good, ready for the planting out of the summer wild flowers and sunflowers.
The boxes are looking nice too. Some of the signs have had an upgrade and others have had a thorough scrub and are as good as new.
