It’s been a while since we posted, but Kye has still been painting! Although he’s not been that keen in the heat.
Here is a beautiful Small Tortoiseshell butterfly that we saw on our field recently, they are becoming more rare these days sadly - I used to see them regularly as a child.
We hope you like it, Kye is very proud of it.

Kye and his Dad had a fantastic evening last night at a talk by the lovely Lucy Lapwing from Spring watch, part of the biosphere festival here on the Isle of Wight. Kye gave Lucy one of his Lapwing prints and she loved it. Really fascinating talk about her new book ‘Love is a Toad’.

Kye’s latest painting is of a red legged partridge that wandered into our front garden a few weeks ago. We’ve seen it, and it’s mate, several times since. It has the most beautiful details and colours.
We hope you like it.

Another local one for you today - Bembridge Windmill. Kye decided to keep this one simple, I did try and persuade him to add some more detail, like the fence, but he was adamant!
He definitely knows when a painting is finished and I love the calmness of this one, what do you think?
