Hi lovely people it is’Between the tides festival at Walton on the Naze’ this weekend, what a fabulous day out. There is so much more activities going on today if you fancy googling the programme. I had the pleasure of running an art workshop yesterday. The lovely people I met, used their imagination to create objects from recycled materials ( junk modelling). It was a brilliant day! I’m thinking of running an art club on a Saturday morning and maybe one afternoon, once school has finished. I would love your thoughts on this, would you, your children, your grandchildren come to an art club? It’s a great experience to share. Please comment if you’d be interested. Happy, Happy Friday lovely people, how’s your week been? Don’t be jealous, but I’ve just come back from my holidays. A week in Gran Canaria, rest, rest and more rest, fabulous! Now to share something equally as exciting, but a little scary, I’m running a monthly workshop at the Dragons Nest in Brightlingsea. The second one is on Wednesday 30th September at 7.30-9.30pm it would be great to see you there. For more information look at Pens and dragons page. Here are some photos from the first workshop I did. It was creating something within something, the ideas you don’t always want to share. We had great fun, cutting, folding and creating 3D objects that told a story. Next time the session is called “ On Repeat “. Being creative, chatting and meeting new people is great for confidence and mental health. Be brave, I look forward to meeting you on 30th ###xx

Happy Saturday lovely people, how is everyone? Today I’m going to share some inspirational images, from an amazing trip I took with a very dear friend. I have always loved and admired Rene Macintosh a pioneer of the Arts and Crafts movement. So we went to Glasgow for the day, yes you heard me right for the day!!! Flying early and returning late, We did a whistle stop tour of key destinations. The people we met on our travels were so welcoming and kind, even met a very funny bus driver (haha). These images I’ve only ever seen in books, to see them in the flesh was breathtaking!! He was a very clever man!! What do you think of the images? Hi lovely people, how is everyone? Just looked at the last time I posted, 19th July. So it’s been a while!!! I have been doing creative activities and also working. As you know health is a hindrance for me, so posting is the first thing to go. But I’m looking forward to all your comments on this one. Interiors can be tricky when you want to add detail but not detract from the colour palette. In days gone by, you could use a floral, bold paper freeze. I’ve created
my own interpretation, having an open plan feel to the kitchen and living, there are no doors. So I have created a vertical mural adding interest to a partition wall. What images and colours, would you have in a small mural like this? I used paint pens which was quick and easy to do. Any questions please message me, happy to help. Hi lovely people, how are you all? The School holidays are upon us, so I just wanted to say a big thank you to all the school staff whatever your role. You all do an amazing job!! I’ve been busy, trying to get my studio into shape. It’s getting there, I’m also progressing with a collection of pieces. Working title is “The Sea”, which for me is a magical, mysterious place. What do you find magical in the world around us? Enjoy my post and I look forward to seeing you all here very soon ###x

Happy Sunday lovely people!! Hope you’ve all had a great week. Sorry I haven’t posted for a while, I suffer with bad hips and the pain can be unbearable. But I’m on the mend, apart of aging I suppose. I’m now thinking about my bedroom decor and what to create. In our previous home, because the room was quite small, I focused on the bed. We’re having fitted wardrobes along one side of our bedroom and am contemplating making them the focal point. Here’s a reminder of bedroom 1. Evening lovely people, hope you’re able to stay cool in this fabulous weather! What have you guys been up too? I’ve had a busy week family wise, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. But I have managed to be a little creative, thinking about a series of 3 artworks about the sea. Here are my early sketches and colour palette for one of them. What do you think? I’m not sure about the ground paper, I’m going to experiment at the weekend. Have a great week and I’ll see you here again very soon. I also have some exciting news to share with you about my art.
