Amandip is an incredible cook and she is hosting a feast at Communa on Thursday night.
I’m really disappointed not to be able to go… but if you can…do!
You’ll be in for a culinary treat.
It’s being held indoors at Communa, so the weather can do what it likes.
I’m adding some of my saris to Amandip’s beautiful collection … and we’ll be hanging them from the ceiling to add a little opulence!
It promises to be a wonderful evening - I’m jealous of those of you who get to go… and am secretly hoping she’ll save me some leftovers !
Enjoy ♥️🙏🌺

One way or another, if you’re around tomorrow, be sure to hotfoot it to Popicoq!
The new collection is frankly fabulous… and you can you enjoy perusing the rails with a complementary glass of bubbles 🥂🤎🍁🍂🥂What’s not to love!
Look forward to seeing you tomorrow between 10 and 4

I’m taking a moment between coats of paint to remind you that Popicoq is reopening TOMORROW… Hooray!
I’d like to say I’ve been on holiday all month, but that would be far from true.
There’s been lots of costume work and some major sorting of my workshop.
But I did manage a couple of lovely trips away… including a week in Paris, where I started putting together Popicoq’s Autumn collection.
I found some special pieces in beautiful rich jewel colours and gorgeous textures, ready to layer up and keep you cosy as well as stylish through the chillier months.
It feels a bit odd hanging up knitwear when we’re barely out of the heatwave, but the skies are a-changing… and I’m so ready to move on.
Much as I’ve loved the colourful prints of summer, it felt good to pack them away and make room for Autumn.
I finished my costume work yesterday, so last night was my first chance to freshen up the walls as well as the rails.
The shop has a lovely new colour — and I’m hoping to get the changing room painted tonight too!
Do drop by tomorrow, see what I’ve done with the place, tell me your summer stories and enjoy all the beautiful new things…

Just maybe don’t lean on the walls! 🤪

As a petite « amuse-bouche » ahead of next weeks re-opening, join me tomorrow morning at Communa.
There will be GREAT coffee, DELICIOUS pain au chocolat and a pop up BROCANTE.
My perfect weekend morning !
Popicoq will be there with a typically eclectic mix of antique treasures, flea market finds and vintage nonsense.
I believe there will also be the marvelous Mitzi McNeil and Lesa Green .
Do drop by and say Bonjour!
I’ll even have a real life French girl with me 😎…it’s Maddie’s last morning in Frome before I whisk her off to Bristol airport.
We’d love to see you - and if you don’t know it already, you MUST discover Communa ♥️♥️♥️

(Thanks for the pitch Andy Harding )

This one is kicking back and taking time out from being too cool for school.
She may look like she’d rather be smoking Gauloises in a Rive Gauche café whilst judging passers by…but an inflatable flamingo will have to do.
I, on the other hand, very much enjoyed my week in Paris. I caught up with lovely Maddie and two of my best friends who I’ve not seen for trop longtemps ❤️
And of course I shopped for the shop.
It was decidedly difficile because I wanted to buy EVERYTHING !
Everywhere I looked there were beautiful deep jewell colours, gorgeous textures and lots of lovely layers.
I mean, it’s been a great summer and all that, but I’m kind of over it now.
Bring on the crispy days of Autumn and let me wear my boots again!
The New Collection will be revealed when I reopen in September.
Until then I’m afraid there’s work to be done - I’ll be in my workshop stitching a Radish Spirit….but more of that later.
Enjoy the last of your lazy, hazy crazy days of summer and see you in September

Be sure to drop in and see us on our last open day till September!
It’s the Frome Independent market…which can only mean one thing - Popicoq will be serving chilled bubbles to make your Sunday sparkle! 🥂☀️✨
The shop is bursting with everything you need to see out the summer - and it’s your last chance to grab the perfect outfit before I close the door until Wednesday 2nd September.
Be sure to drop in a say toodaloo …and don’t forget to take a tour of the goings on in the garden 😎
Looking forward to seeing you,
Dulcie x
