We reclaim Frome’s high street once a month to showcase the best independent craftspeople, designers, makers, food producers and vintage traders in the South West. The market takes place on the first Sunday of the month from March to December and strives to be ‘more than a market’, incorporating live music, DJs, street performance, workshops and activities for children and adults alike on market d

ays. The market is a free event for visitors and has quickly grown to be one of the most significant elements in the region’s calendar attracting over 80,000 visitors each year.

We stand for the best. We stand for independents. We work with independent local, seasonal and regional food and drink producers. We showcase fledgling and established contemporary designers & makers. We nurture traders of sustainable products, contemporary design products and vintage fashion, collectibles and furniture. We support Frome’s independent retailers and thinkers. Community. Culture. Conversation. We make that happen too. Come and reclaim the high street with us.

✨What a day, Frome! Late summer sunshine and warmth, loads of lovely visitors, the best traders and our amazing town centre independent businesses.

Thanks to this month’s brilliant performers, activity providers -portraits, Zoe Clementine H-Strickland, DJs, Somerset Farmers Markets and our charity partner, Shared Earth Learning. Special shout out this month to Ginny Mojo Moves Rare Species Entertainment for a really joyful tribute to the legend that is Dolly.

As always we are grateful to our cleaners, local legends Busy Bees, our on-site medic Star Medic, our music stage technicians Nomad Live and our stewards Festive Lizards. BIG thanks as well to our market day crew and event managers who are all absolute stars 🌟

✨Just one week until September’s The Frome Independent and we’ve got a lovely late summer lineup for you this month. As always, we’re bringing the best artists, makers, Flea traders and seasonal food and drink to the town centre.

As the heatwave subsides, we’ve got bursts of colour for your pots and borders in Homes & Gardens along with cut flowers, plant accessories, garden ornaments and homewares.

Browse with our selection of expert vintage and antique traders in the Flea for furniture, art, clothes and accessories, jewellery, collectibles and gardenalia.

It’s been a tough summer for lots of local growers and producers so make sure to bring your basket and stock up on delicious food and drink from our selection of traders and Somerset Farmers Markets

Our artists and makers always bring a whole load of colour and joy with them. Shop from our suitcase traders and designer/makers from Catherine Hill, through the town centre and round into Justice Lane. Find something you love from original art, prints, glass, jewellery, skincare, ceramics, leather work, home fragrances and lots more.

Live music on the Busking Stage plus the vinyl disco, 🖤Lucie Sheridan, linocuts with Zoe Clementine H-Strickland and the Sunday Art Club on the Village Green (by Frome Library).

Head down early for the pick of the vintage, antiques and collectibles at our fabulous Flea by the river. You’ll find furniture, homewares, jewellery, art, clothes and gardenalia. Pick up some garden ornaments, late summer plants for your garden and cut flowers from our Homes and Gardens traders. 🌻

Enjoy live music all day at the Busking Stage, free kids crafts plus our vinyl disco @ The Village Green Social Club 🕺🪩
