It’s the sort of book you can dip into for five minutes and suddenly find yourself still reading half an hour later.

As we open for the day, dozens of antique clocks begin chiming together. Some visitors love it, some visitors quickly move on to the next room!

We think it’s one of those sounds that’s an acquired taste, but there’s no denying it’s a wonderful reminder that these historic timepieces are still doing exactly what they were made to do.

Turn the sound up and enjoy a little slice of Hemswell life.

This year marks a very special milestone for Hemswell Antique Centres as we celebrate 40 years since opening our doors in 1986.

From a single antiques centre to Europe’s largest antique centre, it’s been an incredible journey filled with antiques, collectables, fascinating discoveries and wonderful people.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years.

Well… this vintage biscuit tin certainly caught our attention today 😂

It’s amazing what turns up around the centres — and sometimes you have to read the label twice 👀
