Introducing the Golden Broom

This month sees the first outing for the Golden Broom – a new BID for Galashiels initiative recognising businesses that take pride in keeping their shopfronts and the areas immediately outside their premises clean, tidy and welcoming.

And the first recipient is The Trophy Guy.

The area outside the shop is always kept clean and tidy, and there’s rarely a dull window – with fantastic displays throughout the year that add interest to the town centre.

The Golden Broom will now be passed to a different business each month, recognising the everyday effort that businesses put into looking after their little part of Galashiels.

👉Why this matters: We all have a part to play in keeping Galashiels clean and welcoming. Every small effort adds up, and the Golden Broom celebrates the businesses doing their bit.

Congratulations to The Trophy Guy on being our first Golden Broom holder!
