Dear Customers: After much consideration and a heavy heart I have taken the decision to close the cheese stall at the indoor market, although Steve’s Cheese Larder will continue to be available online.
Sadly, footfall on Garstang High Street and especially at the indoor market has fallen considerably, while at the same time overheads have risen quite steeply. It would require considerable personal investment in order to keep the cheese stall afloat and with the current economic uncertainty it has become unviable. I have held out for change for some time already and the longer you remain the harder it becomes; Saturday, August 3rd will be our last day trading at the old indoor market.
Many thanks to our valued customers over the years, often we have shared a laugh and a chat, and there’s many of you I now regard as friends. Your support and enthusiasm for local produce and artisan cheese has been greatly appreciated, and I will truly be sad not to see you in person each week. Nevertheless, time is ripe for change so please be sure to follow our social media pages and stay in touch to order cheese and keep up to date with our upcoming events. I look forward to continuing to provide you with the selection of good cheese you have come to expect from Steve’s Cheese Larder.
