Newcastle based artist Zoë Cotterill Art creates beautiful architectural watercolour illustrations of well known buildings and landmarks from across the North East. Originally from Hull, Cotterill fell in love with the variety of buildings and structures from across the North East whilst studying at Northumbria University.

“My favourite thing is getting to sell my work at markets and meeting customers, especially when they recognise the places I have illustrated. Whether it's the pub they had their first date in with their partner, or their favourite local cafe, I love seeing people's reactions to places I have illustrated”

Cotterill’s work can be seen as part of a collaboration between Baltic & by Meliá UK where a selection of artworks are available to purchase online.

The Baltic Shop team had the opportunity to attend a preview of the exhibition before opening to guests of the hotel this week.
