Our funeral home is located on the edge of Saltwell Park in Gateshead. We are here to help you at a difficult time and are always available to discuss any decisions with you. How we will help:

announcements to stationery and memorials
*Make arrangements, with your preferred officiant and with the crematorium or local
cemetery
*Help you with any special requests to ensure the day is exactly how you want it
*Support you on the day of the funeral and ensure everything runs smoothly
*Be open with costs and give advice on the best value option for the funeral you have in mind
*Give guidance on administrative details that you will need to consider

It is with great sadness that we announce Jim passed away on 22nd August 2026, aged 84.

Jim, dearly loved husband of Kay, devoted dad to Simon, Andrew and Amy, adored Grampsy and cherished father-in-law.

A truly special man, deeply loved by all his family. Forever loved, forever missed, and forever at the heart of our family.

Please gather with us to celebrate Jim’s life at Saltwell Crematorium on Tuesday 29th September at 12pm.

Family flowers only please.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Dementia UK.

After the service, family and friends are warmly invited to The Angel View Inn, Gateshead, to continue the celebration of Jim’s life.

'Thank you so much for everything you and your team did to make a very sad situation a lot more bearable. From the minute I spoke on the phone to ask about funeral arrangements, I cannot fault in any way the care, empathy and service you provided.
You looked after our loved one with so much care and also you yourself looked after me and my two boys, which was amazing! The funeral was very specific to himself and your guidance in planning it made it that much more special.
You have a very special gift with after care for bereaved families and although under sad circumstances I feel blessed to have met you.' ❤️

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charles Martin, who died peacefully on 28th August 2026, aged 97, surrounded by loved ones at Wardley Gate Care Home.
Charlie will be remembered for his kindness, warmth, and the positive impact he had on everyone who knew him.
He was a devoted family member, loyal friend, and a source of strength and laughter to many. His memory will live on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.
Charlie was husband to his loving wife Doreen. Dad to John, Robert and Angela, father-in-law to Janice, Christine and Ged. Grandad and great-grandad to Carl, Daryl, Cheryl, Hayley, Stacey and Adam.
Charlie is lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A service to celebrate Charlie's life will be held on 22nd September 2026, 11:15 at Saltwell Crematorium.
Family and friends are warmly invited to attend for refreshments after the service to the Ravensworth Golf Club.

A dearly loved lady who will be forever loved, cherished, and missed by all who knew her.

Family and friends are warmly invited to attend her funeral service on Thursday 3rd September 2026, 1:00 pm at Saltwell Crematorium.

Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, are gratefully welcomed in memory of Terry to the St Bede's Unit.

Following the service, everyone is warmly invited to join the family at The Stonetrough Pub for refreshments and to share memories of Terry's life.
