Come and see these and much more at the Open Studios Ayrshire event this weekend! In Girvan we have 4 artists and makers at the wee school art space on Henrietta Street, makers in Maybole, paintings in Colmonell not to mention many others in Ayrshire. Immerse yourself in the depth of talent in our local area, a whole 3 days to find exciting new things and meet the artists. Its been scientifically proven that participating in and even just viewing art is highly beneficial to the human brain so not only is supporting the event fun, its good for you too!
Come and pick up a leaflet at the wee school art space with a guide to all of the participants and their locations and have a great weekend! Runs Friday 11th until Sunday 13th September.

If you feel you can donate, I would be immensely grateful. Donations after a galloping start have dwindled to a slow limping amble. I know times are difficult so at the end of the fundraising, whoever donates the most gets to choose a piece of work of mine for freeeee! But also if you donate anything at all, you will get 20% off my work for life. 😀

Work in progress. This one is hopefully going to be number 2 in the series I am doing for Greyfriars Edinburgh Art Fair in October this year. Many layers of collage pulled back to reveal more beneath.
This is where I usually have a little wobble of uncertainty before I apply paint and start covering the lovely vintage text and illustrations.
Next time you see this piece, it will be covered over! 😱
