In case anyone was wondering, this is what 10 days of love, medication, good food & all of your amazing support, does for a very poorly little outcast. What a transformation.

I am in awe of every one of you who has supported me along the way & thank you all from the bottom of mine & the kittens hearts. ♥️
We’ve still got a ways to go with two rounds of injections for this little one & all 3 sterilising & castrating, but we’ve definitely turned a corner now with Thimble. x

**Sunday’s kitten update**

Little Thimble isn’t so little any more 🧡
He’s doing so well & eating me out of house & home. I’m surprised he’s not started in on the furniture yet! He did stop doing the emergency eating of a wild cat a couple of days ago. It’s got to be difficult when you don’t know when your next meal is coming from & you have to fight your mum & 2 brothers for every scrap you can get. He’s become quite relaxed about eating since Friday. xx

**Wednesday’s kitten update- I have a confession**

I have crossed a line into kitty bottom fiddling. 🙈
Each day I’ve been disinfecting Thimbles sore bu****le, much to his great dislike & applying baby bum cream gently with my finger.
Not a pastime I thought I’d be taking up 😂

Everything is going so well with little Thimble. His eyes are healing to a beautiful amber colour & the congestion & sneezing is stopping. He’s responding quickly to the medication & has settled in great into his quarters. He’s an eating machine & devours the same amount of food each day as Bobbin & Button combined, so he might be going to grow up into a huge boy. His feet aren’t showing any changes yet but I’m still hopeful. xx

**NOT A GOOD SATURDAY KITTY UPDATE**

Thimble, our latest addition to the kitty survival camp, unfortunately has a condition called Pillow foot, or feline plasma cell pododermatitis if you’re feeling fancy.
This is a secondary condition brought on from the Calicivirus where white blood cells flood the feet & has caused his little foot pad & toe beans to swell up badly. He walks like he’s balancing on tiny balloons under each foot. His front paws are splayed open all the time & his back two are lifted up off the floor by the swelling, like tiny hovercraft feet. This affects his balance when he’s walking & he’s had a few spills when turning bless him. I’m already giving him antibiotics & anti inflammatories for the calicivirus so hopefully they’ll relieve the swelling in his wee paws as well in time. If not then I’ll have to try something else.
If the worst comes to the worst & the pillow foot stays permanently then he can lead a fairly normal life with it. It’ll just mean trying to stop him jumping from heights so as not to burst the pads & regularly checking his paws for any lesions.
He’s still in great form & loving all the company he can get. ♥️

It’s a battle 3 times a day to get his eyedrops in, bless his wee cotton socks. Only 17 more times all going well 😂
