It’s been an amazing few weeks in Germany 🇩🇪 We are leaving tomorrow for the ferry and will be home Saturday. I’ll be straight into packing for the Witches Cove Market on Sunday at BAaD ❤️ Then I’ll be straight into making our brand new designs featuring Buffy, Broadway, Books and so much more. Have a look at our stories for a kind of sneak peek 🫣

We will try very hard to have the shop reopened by Tuesday night with all our new products, may be subject to change 🤞🏻

We are still on break at the moment. But when we return we will be trading The Witches Cove Market Glasgow Creation Events at BAaD - Barras Art & Design on Sunday 9th August 11-4pm.

Loads of things going on at Gara and Jonay this week! First up we are having a flash sale on loads of earrings! We need space for the new lines we have planned when we reopen in August as well as restock and fabulous new lines!

We are trading at two markets this weekend.

First up: The Big Weekend Summer Goth Market on Saturday 1-7pm (they are also running Sunday at same time too

Then Sunday will be first market of the year at 12-4.30pm.

Come visit us 💜 we will also have dog treats for your furry friends as both markets are dog friendly

PLEASE READ

From 1 July 2026, the EU will apply a temporary €3 customs duty per item on low-value consignments (up to €150) imported from outside the EU, abolishing the duty exemption applicable until 30 June 2026. On top of this they are charging a €2 parcel handling fee.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU:

This means if you are an EU customer and you order for example - 3 pairs of earrings and a mug, you will be charged €3 per item plus a €2 handling fee, so €14 total

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR GARA AND JONAY:

We will update our shipping and tariff pages to reflect this information.

We will continue operating in the EU until Christmas at least to monitor how this affects our sales. If it does negatively we will have to stop shipping to the EU again as we cannot afford to pay for GPSR regulations with no return

Unfortunately another blow Brexit has had on small businesses 😪

We are really sorry 😢 but as a small business we can’t afford unnecessary outgoings
