The Castlemilk Pantry We are a community pantry based in the Castlemilk area of Glasgow and offer memberships to those in G45 postcode currently, we hope to review this in future.

It costs £1 for a years membership and £2.50 for a weekly shop of around 10-12 items worth between £12-1£15

Join us on a Monday morning for a tasty hot roll and cuppa, followed by a wee game of bingo at the Birgidale Complex. Books cost £5 with all money paid out to the winners. Eyes down at 11.30am.

Tuesday 28th April
10am - 12noon - Sew Fabulous at the HUB, 6 Ardencraig Street, G45 0ER

Our sewing/upcycling workshop supports learning around the basics of sewing, whilst building participant confidence. Utilising old fabric, saved from going into landfill, participants are supported to make new items such as shopping bags/purses/cushion covers/draft excluders within the confines of a friendly, safe and welcoming space.

1pm – 3pm - The Story Crafters (Creative Writing Group)
at the HUB, 6 Ardencraig Street, G45 0ER

Do you have stories in your mind waiting to be told? Whether you're a seasoned writer or just starting out, The Story Crafters is the perfect group for you to ignite your imagination. Join others to explore the art of storytelling and unlock your creative side, whilst having fun and making new friends. All we ask is that you bring your passion and an open mind to create something extraordinary one word at a time.

Join our Community Gardener & become a Happy Gardener Volunteer at the HUB's Community Garden to help us create a shared space that will see us growing fruit, vegetables, herbs and flowers.

Are you looking for a supportive and safe space to relax, express yourself, and connect with other women? If yes, then our women’s group “The Inspirationals” is here to inspire you. Combined with the message of the importance of self-care, you can engage in different activities each week, such as arts/crafts; painting; wellbeing, the sessions offer a welcoming environment to explore your passions, foster mindfulness, and boost your wellbeing.

10am – 12 noon - Men4Men (Men’s Group)

Join our welcoming Men's Group to connect, grow, and share in a supportive environment. It's a place for a chat whilst at the same time engage in different activities each week.

Join us for a welcoming community breakfast/brunch and start your Friday with good company in a welcoming and safe space.
Everyone is welcome – families, neighbours and new faces!
Our Financial Inclusion team will also be on hand to offer free, confidential support including budgeting/managing your money; understanding benefits/entitlements; assistance with bills to reduce your household costs and practical energy saving advice.

All activities are free and inclusive, and everyone is welcome.

At the Birgidale Complex we have a large outdoor space with so much potential, but right now it’s missing character, seating and in need of a bit of creativity. This is where YOU come in.
We are looking for volunteers to help us turn it in to a beautiful and welcoming community garden with

🪑Outdoor Seating Areas
🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 Family Friendly Spaces

The best part? You’ll get to help design and shape the space with us!

We are also looking for a few lovely people who would be happy to help maintain the space on a weekly basis to keep it looking great 🌿

☕️Refreshments and a hot roll will be provided

A huge thank you goes to NRG Riverside for generously donating volunteer hours as part of their Community Benefits. Their team kindly assisted us in clearing out our food storage areas.

This support has been invaluable in helping us keep our ambient food dates organised and up to date, ensuring we can continue to serve our members effectively.

CASTLEMILK HEALTH WALKS RE-STARTING MONDAY 20th APRIL.

Every Monday evening from 6pm to 7pm Castlemilk health walks will take place through to September 2026.

Starting from Barlia Football centre 60 Glenwood Path, Glasgow G45 9UD Castlemilk Community Football Trust and returning there on a light walk, the facilities will be open for toilets and to purchase refreshments likes of a cup tea or coffee.

The walks are free to attend and are we take our time, if you would like to know please contact [email protected]
