We'll be open from 10am to 4pm on Christmas Eve, closed on Chritmas Day and Boxing Day, open again on Saturday 27th at 11am, with a similar pattern oover the New Year. May Santa bring you books.

Noelle is off to sabotage the search for dark matter at the Laboratori Nazionali near Rome, where Barry is auditioning as third soprano in the Sistine Chapel’s Choir. Noelle has also been invited to an audience with Pope Leo XIV to clear the air about something she may or may not have said at her First Communion in 1965.

The book shop will therefore be closed from Monday November 3, re-opening on Tuesday November 11.

After sixteen days' work with my Flex 24V Hammer Drill and a teaspoon, my neep is ready to horrify Shawlands with its malignant power. All puny pumpkins within a two-mile radius wither before its basilisk stare. Four hundred millilitres of my personal blood has fed its eldritch might, plus a tealight from Morrison's. Come to Skirving Street and behold the Satanic Majesty of a tiny root veg with a face on!
