Chilli red is the colour for AW26. I don’t like following trends but I am obsessed with red. One of the things I covered at the fashion showcase the other evening was how we can “lightly” adopt trends into our wardrobe to stay current without going in two feet first and looking like everyone else.
I think an awareness of trends is a great thing but don’t feel pressured to buy into everything that’s the “latest” or the “fashion insider must have” these are the things you will get tired of very quickly. Know what the trends are and lean into them but don’t go hard.

A lovely evening of fashion, fizz & beauty at
When I was asked to host the fashion element of Thursday’s AW Fashion & Beauty showcase I was totally excited until the nerves hit!
However I enjoyed it ao much we decided to do it again. Save the date, 12th Nov for a little Christmas Sparkle!
Thank you to for such an amazing night. And a huge thank you to and for lending me their precious clothes for the evening. Thanks also to my beautiful models who had the job sprung on them but still delivered.

What I wore last night. Date night: combats & kitten heels. I love the contrast of the more mensy trousers with the feminine heels.
Had the loveliest date night in the uber cool atmosphere of Andersons in the Merchant City. Food was on point, company was on point and managed to get home to my jammies by 10pm. 👌👌👌 swipe to see the chocolate mousse which I could eat again rn. 😳😳😳😳😳

Let’s talk about “cost per wear”. Do you consider it? How do we know which are the “right” pieces to buy?
My whole ethos is about inspiring you to shop well and make better lasting choices.
I’ve had this jacket over two years, (but had probably been coveting it for two years before that) and I wear it constantly.
With jeans, over dresses, with chunky knits, to special events, to client edits and to Lidl. We dont keep it for best, we wear and enjoy.
When you wear something repeatedly, it pays for itself.
Consider the top you have set your heart on but it’s £100 so you can’t justify it. So you buy the £10 top, which isn’t right
 then the £25 one, which still isn’t right and a handful of other “filler” bits because still nothing is working? How much have you spent now?
True value of a piece isn’t the price it’s how often it actually gets used. Investing in a piece can be as much about the cost as the time taken to consider buying it - it doesn’t only extend to high cost items.
But the question I am asked most, is how to tell which are the “right” choices?
1. Will it work with what you have already? If you have to buy something else to go with it, it’s not a great investment. You should be able to see clearly it can work with what you already have.
2. Can I wear I 10 ways, will I wear it 10 more than 10 times? More than it works with your existing wardrobe, will you want to or feel comfortable wearing it more than 10 times or ways. Pieces we invest in should suit our lifestyle. I’d rather spend more on a hardworking piece than a one off event piece.
3. The fit is right today. Never buy something to “slim” into. Even when body shapes change up or down, will you still like it on your shape? If it’s something to be tweaked down by a tailor do it immediately but don’t put it off and leave the piece unloved.
When an item checks those three boxes, the “cost per wear” drops to pennies because you use it. What do you think? Do you consider CPW? Whats your main worry when buying longer lasting pieces?

What I wore yesterday

Zero brainpower for captions atm. So here is me. All black outfit, jeans, tee, cardigan/jacket and trainers for comfort. Best outfit advice I can give - keep it simple, chose pieces that are comfortable, don’t buy it if you don’t 💯 like it at the time, and just wear the damn thing and get on with your day. Stop doubting your choices.

Belting a blazer is a simple way to use an everyday accessory to lift a look. Considered choices of jewellery. Not to much. Echoing colours in your choice of pieces.
Accessories can lift an outfit so quickly and pull everything together. 👌

Im not gonna lie. My hair needs cut, I feel so bloated at the moment, I had a hot flush Saturday that made me literally melt and I am feeling so stressed about all the things I need to achieve this week. Loved visiting the m o x i e down the hidden lane yesterday. So nice to chat to Heather about her new venture. More to come on that! Picked up the cutest top and ran into my lovely friend Caroline Cook who looked stunning as always. It is the smallest world.
