The loveliest thing happened on my last day in the shop. As I was clearing the last few things out a gentleman walked in and asked if I was a Mulgrew. I said I was and he proceeded to tell me that as a young boy he spent most days sitting on the counter in my grandparents shop on Barfillan drive. He would spend hours talking to my grandad and had vivid memories that he shared with me. 5 minutes later and I would have locked the shop for the last time and we would never have met. Honestly I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect ending❤️

It’s with a heavy heart that I announce the closing of The Wee Sweet Shoppe effective July 5th. The shop has been so much more than a business to me, it’s been a life long dream. For over 2 years you welcomed me into your lives and I will be forever grateful for the friendships I have made along the way. I’ve grown quite attached to all my little friends and I will miss our daily visits❤️

Closing my doors is not an easy decision, and it comes with deep sadness but with rising costs it’s just not feasible for me any longer.

Thank you for every kind word, and every helping hand. The love and warmth I felt from this community will stay with me always. I do hope to continue with the local school events so please keep me in mind.
