💗🐾 An Ode to My Wonderful Volunteers & Staff 🐾💗

To the people who make our shop what it is… this one’s for YOU!

Every shop has its shelves, its rails and its till,
But ours has something much harder to fill…
People with heart, kindness and flair,
And a little bit of madness thrown in there! 😂

Some of you have been here right from the start,
Putting up with my ideas and giving your heart.
You’ve seen every window, every scheme and plan
True heroes, every single one of you… because you’re still here! 😂

Some of you are newer and have found your place,
Your own little niche and your own special space.
You’ve made new friends, discovered what you love,
And become part of our wonderful PDSA family. 💗

Then there are my long-suffering Assistant Managers…
What can I possibly say?! 😂
You deserve medals, holidays and possibly a very large drink
for surviving my latest “brilliant idea” every week! 🤣

And every single volunteer brings something unique
Your personality, your humour, your talents and your kindness.
You ALL bring your own specialness to our shop,
and that is what makes it such a special place.

You sort, you steam, you price, you serve,
You make the windows fabulous and keep everything moving.
You chat to customers, laugh with each other, and somehow turn piles of donations into money that helps animals in need. 🐶🐱🐰🐹

I genuinely don’t know what I would do without you.

You make my job easier every single day,
and I am incredibly lucky to have every one of you.

So while I’m away on holiday for TWO WHOLE WEEKS… 😂✈️☀️
