What a lovely week we’ve had meeting so many wonderful people here for the Commonwealth Games!! 💕 We’ve met many of the amazing athletes who have been so positive about Glasgow and the experience they’ve had here ..and their friends and families who’ve travelled from so many corners of the globe to support their loved ones …and such lovely people who’ve come to watch such elite sportspeople in action … it’s been such a great atmosphere!🎉 Whether it be Samoa or Shawlands. ..everyone has said what a great time they’ve had in Glasgow! Let’s hope we can make these last two days our personal best! So proud to be a Weegie! ###🌙🥇 🏃‍♀️ 🦄

Already started to meet some lovely people who arriving in Glasgow for The Commonwealth Games 2026! Seems hardly any time since 2014 when we last hosted the Games and what a wonderful time that was! Hoping we can once again extend our famous Glasgow welcome to all the visitors from around the world who are visiting us in the next week or so! Good luck to all the amazing athletes and competitors too ! It all kicks off tomorrow with The Opening Ceremony at the Hydro!!! Hope you can pop in if you’re attending any of the venues or watching at the Live Screens At Kelvingrove Park! 🎉🎉🎉🌙

Once again …one of Glasgow’s finest artists ( … and Velvet Moon’s🌙) has done great work for Glasgow and for Maggie’s Cancer Charity! Adrian McMurchie has designed this incredible Scottie as part of Maggie’s Cancer Charity’s Scotties In The City and One Devonshire Gardens has kindly sponsored Adrian’s brilliant Reasonably Accurate Map of Glasgow West which can be found proudly peeking onto Gt Western Road from outside the hotel!
It’s an incredible piece of work ( just like its creator🤪) and definitely worth a look at if you’re passing! And it’s all for a fabulous charity as part of the Scottie Dog Art Trail all around the city! Congratulations Adrian … he’s a belter and so are you!!💕We’re so proud of you!!! ###🌙 P.S. Thanks for the mention too, so chuffed to have our name on him!🙏💕
