Woodburn Trout Fishery We are situated in the Campsie Hills with magnificent views across Central
Scotland.

Only 5 minutes from Kirkintilloch and within easy reach from Stirling
and Glasgow. We offer top quality trout fishing from boats and bank stocking with local grade
A brown, blue, tiger and rainbow trout from 2 to 20 lbs. Our natural brown trout thrive on
the rich feeding water from the Campsie Hills. Come along for a great days
fishing or just a coffee and a bleather...open 8am till 9:30pm at moment.

Bait pond getting a top up last night with some cracking 3-5lbr’s ready for the weekend🎣

Restocking both fly and bait lochs yesterday with some cracking rainbows averaging 3 to 6lb🎣🎣water temperatures slightly better and rain bringing in plenty fresh water, top of the water bubbling at moment 😀

With the temperatures coming down over the next couple of days and maybe even some rain the fishery will be back open this Sunday!🎣

Hi folks

Unfortunately as you’d expect with the weather we’ve had the water temps haven’t got any better so we will continue to stay closed over the weekend. Next weeks forecast is looking a little cooler with a lot more clouds and wind so hopefully we can reopen 🙏 will keep you updated 🎣

From tomorrow (Wednesday the 15th) onwards we have made the decision to close the fishery until the water temperatures cool down. With the forecast showing blazing sun pretty much everyday and with the surface temps already creeping over 20+ degrees🥵keeping the fish safe comes first, we will post an update on Friday whether or not we’ll be open at the weekend🎣 sorry for any inconvenience.

Managed a bit of stocking yesterday since temperatures came down a bit both fly and bait getting some cracking fish 🎣🎣 well done Peter Clark last night landing an 18.5lb and getting it back safely 👍

‼️Thursday 25th‼️

We are going to be closing the fishery at 12PM!!

Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but since we are closing early we thought we would open a bit earlier for extra time so we will be opening at 7AM so come up early if you want a few hours fishing in the sun before it gets hot hot😂☀️🎣

Busy week on the fishery moving fish around in the rearing ponds grading etc managed quite a few into the fly and bait lochs Ryan doing a greatjob, water is gin clear lots of fish feeding close into the side🎣🎣🎣
