Why We’re Walking The West Highland Way 💛
Beatson Cancer Charity supports people affected by cancer and their families throughout the west of Scotland. From funding world-class research and specialist staff to providing practical, emotional and wellbeing support, the charity helps people navigate one of the most difficult times in their lives. It’s services include counselling, complementary therapies, financial advice, and wellbeing programmes, ensuring that patients and loved ones receive compassionate support both during and after cancer treatment. By investing in innovative research and enhancing patient care, Beatson Cancer Charity is helping to improve outcomes and make a lasting difference to thousands of lives every year.
Kindness Homeless Street Team 💕 is a charity that we’re proud to support through our regular food donations. They work tirelessly to help people experiencing hardship by providing food, essential items and practical support to those who need it most. Their commitment to tackling food insecurity and supporting vulnerable members of the community has made a real impact across Glasgow. Alongside emergency food provision, the charity works hard responding to the immediate needs of individuals and families facing crisis. Through the generosity of volunteers, donors and community partners, Kindness Glasgow continues to make a meaningful difference, ensuring that no one has to face difficult circumstances alone.
That’s why we’re taking on the challenge of walking the 96-mile West Highland Way as part of our Miles for Smiles fundraising campaign. Every step we take is in support of the incredible work these charities do every day. We hope you’ll follow our journey, cheer us on and, if you’re able, help us reach our fundraising goal. Every donation, no matter the amount, will help these organisations continue supporting people when they need it most.
