Balsillie WoolWorks We offer a personalised service, hand knitting chunky knitted blankets/throws and much more. Each item adds a unique statement to any lounge or bedroom.

My items are made with chunky chenille yarn, giving them the ultimate luxurious, cozy feeling. . Up until recently I ran my own hairdressing business in the Middle East. Now that I have returned back to Scotland and my children have flown the nest, I have decided to embark on a new adventure. I started making chunky knitted blankets for friends and family and received such a positive response that I decided to venture out to making other items like hats & scarfs, seasonal novelty items and much more. I find when I am hand knitting I tend to zone out. I find it almost meditative, time just passes me by.

Our September event takes place today at Geilsland Estate, and it's our 21st birthday! 🥳 54 indoor stalls packed with art, craft, food, and drink. We have our Chatter & Natter cafe area in the hall run by Mocha JaK’s, serving a selection of cakes, snacks, and hot & cold drinks, or you can pop round to their main cafe to enjoy their full menu. Ellwoods Pizza will also be outside the hall from noon selling delicious freshly made pizza from their shiny pizza truck. Come along and get a piece of birthday cake before it runs out! There's complimentary refreshments available too, so we can celebrate in style.

Our next event takes place at Geilsland Estate on 5th September, and it marks 21 years of Scottish Arts and Crafts Fair! This month's movie poster is based on the 2002 movie '28 Days Later' and we have another fantastic line up of 54 indoor stalls packed with art, craft, food & drink, with more crafters joining us for the first time (but hopefully no zombies 😂) plus we have some surprises lined up too. Come along and help us celebrate our 21st birthday in style 🎂🎈🥳
