🚨N E W S 🚨

After a couple years away from the houseplants and working on wedding floristry instead...Little Wilderness is back. Well, sort of!
It's now the new Instagram account for a bricks and mortar shop i'm currently working on. I'll be based in the southside of Glasgow and the shop will combine Little Wilderness (houseplants and gifts) with my floristry work .
Now the whole business is called Starry Skies, this space is the shop page dedicated to showing you plants and shop updates, and the other page will continue to be dedicated to the floristry and act as a portfolio.
I'm excited to do what I said I would never ever do...which is open a full time shop 🤣🤙

I’ve been neglecting this side of my wee business since that start of the year really. I’ve been moving into (and learning) the world of floristry and let’s just say I’m absolutely skint (it’s not a cheap thing to start out in 😬) but at the same time hooked. I’ve toyed with the idea for years, and yet plants won for a while. I’ve done as much as I can do with plants, and I’m now under the spell of flowers and the creative side of it all.
So it’s not really surprising that the plants have taken a back seat and the pop up shops haven’t been happening! There’s just no time for them sadly so I’m officially wrapping things up here!
Thanks so much to everyone who has supported this little venture, it played a big part in getting our family through lockdown financially (and me mentally) so I’m mega grateful.
I’m going to keep this page active for a while to do some cross posting with my flower page

Wanting to fit out your commercial until or business home with plants? It’s the perfect way to bring a bit of nature and calm to the space as well as style it. But not all plants like all spaces and buying lots of plants isn’t cheap. So make sure they are the right ones!
When choosing plants for I went for easy care plants and shade tolerant plants for the shelf along the back. Long shelves of plants make a really good feature and trailing plants give it extra volume and impact.
If you have a space you want to fit out with real plants, but don’t know where to start, get in touch. I can help choose the right ones, source them, deliver them and help you style them.

Nothing like a wander around the botanic gardens to remind you of the amazing array plants that have been discovered in all corners of the earth and have now become a readily available and beloved part of our homes too.
Remember to always choose the plant according to the space you have outlined at home instead of picking the plant first and then finding a space. There’s no point putting your desert cactus in a dark and cold corner and your delicate Maidenhair Fern in a south facing sunny window (not that I’ve had any luck with them anywhere mind you) .

Well we’ve had plenty of requests for big statement plants this week and I’ve really enjoyed helping you choose the perfect one. Popular choices this week have been the large Ctenanthe that you might have seen in recently, and the Bird of Paradise.
If you fancy a bigger plant but don’t want to risk spending the money on the wrong one, just get in touch and I’ll help you. I’ll then give you a list of options and prices so you can pick the one. No obligation to buy, you’ll make me happy even if I just get to browse for you.
This means things are ordered in as per clients requests, and can take about a week to arrive. I’ll then deliver it to you myself 🌿

N E W T H I N G S ✨
As I’ve mentioned recently, I’m working on other things at the moment that are taking up time but also bringing me lots of *hate to say the overused J word*, but yeah , JOY!
One of those things is making time to pursue working with the dried flowers more and going down a floristry route. Something I’ve wanted to do for years now, so here we are.
If you want to follow my new page and see the developments , I’ll be launching an online shop dedicated to it very soon so I can keep it separate. is where you can find it!

For the time being I’m specialising in large houseplants. The kind that fill an empty corner , or take centre stage in the bay window.
Buying large houseplants can be pricey, but you do get what you pay for. As long as you’ve chosen the right plant for the right space that is!
I’ll source you your perfect plants, I’ll work to your requirements, whether it’s to a budget, a size, or particular variety, I will come up with a list of suitable plants and prices. If you see one you like, I’ll order it in and deliver it to your door.

T H A N K - Y O U ✨
Thank you everyone for helping me clear out and make space for a new year and new plans. Sale items are pretty much gone, if there’s anything I’ve missed ill pop it back up on stories over the coming weeks.
Just a reminder that I’ll not be doing a Little Wilderness pop up for the next couple of months and the online shop no longer exists. So how can you shop here in the meantime?
For now I’ll be sourcing large houseplants, or rare plants on request. Think architectural pieces or something special you want to invest in. If you have just moved home and want to style the place with lots of plants I can help too.
Think a more bespoke service for now, for your home or commercial space 🌿
