The sistrum is one of the oldest and most sacred ritual instruments, with a history stretching back thousands of years to the temples of ancient Egypt. Traditionally associated with the goddess Hathor and later Isis, its beautiful, shimmering sound was used in ceremony, prayer, healing, and celebration to raise energy, clear stagnant vibrations, and invite divine blessings.

Today, many spiritual practitioners continue to work with the sistrum in ritual, meditation, energy work, and sacred ceremonies, honouring the ancient tradition while creating their own meaningful connection with the sistrum.
