As the nights get longer and evening dog walks end after sunset, I start seeing the barn owls that I’ve been hearing all summer hunting in the grasses. I watched this one from across the field for a good while until it dove, clearly caught something to eat, and vanished.

Not the best video - but it was at quite a distance.

I love it when I sell prints! Yipeee! I sold one today!!! All my art prints are created from my own original photographs. Manipulated on my computer by me before being printed on Mr Fancy Pants printer (he’s a pigment printer) via my ancient, rickety MacBook Pro that still runs the ancient software I use….it was old long before AI…… no AI involved at all, thank you very much!

This is an open letter to the EU commission detailing the impact that the new EPR packing requirements are having on micro-businesses. This is impacting my business and one of the reasons behind why I cannot currently ship to any EU country or Northern Ireland.

You should sign if:

1) you are a micro business that ships (or would like to ship) to EU countries whether you are in the EU or outside of it (this impacts all businesses anywhere in the world).

2) You are a customer within the EU, who wants to buy products from micro-businesses either from outside of the EU OR from other EU countries.

I am smitten by these amazing critters - today was a record… 6 hummingbird hawk moths in the salvia border - I managed to capture 3 in the first video. In previous years one was exciting, 6 is cause for extreme delight.

Summer is a great time for making wands! The wood is seasoned, and I can sit in a chair in the garden and sand them nice and smooth before deciding on what ornamentation they desire.... These are all new and looking for homes.
