PURCHASING ASSISTANT
The Purchasing Staff is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services required by the organization.
This role ensures timely procurement at the best possible cost while maintaining quality standards and compliance with
company policies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Identify and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company procedures Negotiate terms and pricing with vendors Monitor stock levels and coordinate with inventory or warehouse team Track orders and ensure timely delivery of goods Resolve issues related to delays, damaged goods, or incorrect orders Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information Work closely with finance to ensure proper invoicing and payment processing Conduct market research to identify new products and suppliers Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures
REQUIREMENTS Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain (preferred) Strong negotiation and communication skills Good organizational and time-management abilities Attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) Familiarity with procurement software is an advantage

WORKING CONDITIONS: Office-based role with occasional supplier visits May require handling multiple tasks under tight deadlines
