Back at the St Andrews Students’ Association! 🎓📺

It’s great to be back with our friends at the University of St Andrews Students’ Association, this time installing a new digital signage system across the new Wetherspoon’s Bar and Restaurant .

The new displays provide flexible, eye-catching digital signage throughout the building, while also being available for use during events — giving the team much more than just a traditional signage solution.

Even better, we’ve been able to make use of the existing Blustream AV over IP system that Progression AV installed a couple of years ago. By integrating the new displays into the existing infrastructure, we’ve once again demonstrated the flexibility, scalability and expandability of a well-designed AV over IP system.

It’s always satisfying to return to a previous project and see how the system can evolve as the client’s needs change.

Thanks to the team at St Andrews Students’ Association for having us back — we’re looking forward to seeing the new displays in action!

Where to start?! 😅

So much happening that it’s good to take a moment to reflect!

🎧 Live Sound
We kicked things off mixing monitors for The Revelation Room at Glasgow’s Braehead Arena. Mixing 12 IEM mixes is never an easy task, but the team were an absolute joy to work with — making the whole process a pleasure!

📚 Beyond Borders Book Festival
Then it was on to our 5th year supporting the Beyond Borders Scotland with SLS Scotland. Always a fantastic event and a privilege to be involved year after year.

📐 Site Surveys & Installations
In between, we’ve been out carrying out site surveys and supporting one of our clients as a subcontractor on a significant theatre installation — another exciting project taking shape.

🎶 And finally… a late one!
We finished the week supporting our good friends at St Andrews Students' Union for their opening event, reinstalling their audio system and getting everything ready to go.

From live sound and IEMs, to festivals, site surveys and major AV installations, it’s been a great reminder of just how varied the work we do at Progression AV really is.

Busy? Absolutely.
Would we have it any other way? Not a chance. 💪

🚀 Another busy week for the Progression AV team!

It’s been a week of getting stuck into a bit of everything across Scotland.

💻 We completed two new Microsoft Teams Rooms, delivering Yealink solutions for Driver Reviews and TC Young Solicitors — providing reliable, professional meeting spaces built for seamless hybrid working.

🎛️ Then it was back to our friends at Abbeyhill Baptist Church, where we installed their new Allen & Heath digital mixing console and delivered a training session to get the team confident and ready to use their new system.

📋 And in between installations and training, we’ve been out and about carrying out a number of site surveys, planning the next round of projects already in the pipeline.

A busy week, but plenty more to come! 💪

Another Magnitude Festival wrapped! 🎉

Well, another Magnitude Festival has come to a close, and we couldn’t be more delighted to continue our support of this incredible event.

Once again, Progression AV were on the ground mixing Front of House, deploying our Allen & Heath Avantis console alongside our Waves processing rig to give us plenty of additional control and flexibility across the system.

FE Live supplied the main PA system, including DX32s with Prime Input Cards, d&b audiotechnik XSL line array, XSL, SL-Series subs and Y10s as rear delays. The system also made use of d&b ArrayProcessing, giving us comprehensive control and consistency throughout the venue.

On the RF side, FE Live supplied a Shure Axient system, paired with KSM and Beta 87 capsules, while Progression AV supplied a comprehensive microphone package, including Earthworks Drum Microphones.

On monitors, .kenny94 was behind the desk, mixing from an Allen & Heath S7000 and deploying Sennheiser SR 2050-series wireless IEMs to keep the performers connected and confident throughout the event but also provided full Multi-Track recording.

We also deployed a Dante network to further enhance and simplify the distribution of audio feeds for video and presentation playback — making the overall system cleaner, more flexible and easier to manage.

A huge thank you to the entire Production Team, who once again pulled out all the stops to make the event happen. There is an incredible amount of work that goes on behind the scenes to make an event like this run so smoothly, and we’re genuinely grateful to be part of it.

It’s an absolute joy and a privilege to support Magnitude Festival — a truly wonderful and special event. ❤️
