Amy Osbaldeston of Thread & Clay
Mixed Media and Free Machine Embroidery

Inspired by the gardens and farm of Dunham Massey, Amy is creating a series of floral artworks in her signature style.

Using mixed media and free machine embroidery, Amy's first work in her series captures hollyhocks, the iconic blooms that are a familiar sight in British cottage gardens in summer, but flower wherever they please. Spotted in the farm at Dunham Massey, Amy was inspired by the hollyhocks stretching proudly against the rugged farm brickwork, providing a glorious spread of pink across the rust red walls.

Amy is a mixed media artist from Glossop, Derbyshire. She teaches art classes at Thread & Clay Art School with Gwen. A mother and daughter duo, they share their love of the Peak District by teaching art in popular mediums to aspiring new artists in Glossop.

Many of Amy's original artworks are available to buy at Thread & Clay. She also takes commissions, so if you love her style and have an idea for a special piece of art, get in touch.
