We had been planning a refurb and re-stock at the shop but, as it emptied, we took the opportunity for a re-think on our plans and decided to close permanently. It was difficult for many reasons, especially with the connection to our parents. As often happens, advice came from unexpected sources. We had to listen to our heads and not our hearts.
We have made many shop friends over the last few years, many having followed us from our previous shop. We had, and still have, so much support from sellers and traders, customers, shops and businesses in town, local residents and Chris, who's name was shouted quite a lot for help. We have shared many a tear, many a laugh. It has been a fun, sad, happy, topsy-turvy experience with many memories made to cherish as we work through our saddest of life's events. We loved our old print works building even before it was refurbished. It was a challenge with rubbish to clear, holes in the floor, missing windows, awful walls and grease just about everywhere but we think it came out well. Enjoy our before and after pics.
