Hi all
That time of year again, is it me or do the years seem to pass quicker the older you get.
I would like to say thank you to all that supported the shop this year. As the oldest and only original tackle shop left in Gloucester, it is you who keep it going with your loyalty.
What has been noticeable this year is the amount of youngsters coming into the sport, it has been a pleasure advising them of different aspects of the sport and being able to pass on what little I have learned to help them on their way. May it long continue.
Finally I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a fish filled New Year.
Lokk forward to seeing you all when the shop re-opens 9th March🎄🎁🎊🎉🍻🎣☃️

The shop will be closing for the winter Saturday 25th October at 5pm, it will be re-opening March 9th 2026.
I would like to thank all of you who have supported the shop this year and hope to catch up with you all and hear of your catches when the shop is open again.

I am glad to inform you that the shop will re-open 3rd March at 9am.
Unfortunately there will be no maggots or worms available until Tuesday 4th.

Hi all
I would like thank all my loyal customers that have supported the shop through what has been a difficult year with roadworks and so called closing down sales. I am very grateful as I know you all could of saved a few pounds elsewhere.
As you may of noticed the shop is now closed as last year and will re-open 3rd March 2025. I look forward to catching up with you all on my return.

Hi all
New fishery
For all of you asking about stock levels etc call Liam on 07742 486099 for up to date info.
Opening day so far has seen 2 of the Sturgeon coming to the bank, and numerous carp takes.
The fisheries official name is Castle Hill Fishery, a page will be up shortly with catch shots, directions, rules etc.

Hi all
Checked out a new fishery today that's opening this Friday just outside Gloucester. It has some nice carp to upper 20s and 3 types of Sturgeon to around 38lb.
There is good parking and 6 bivvy pegs with ample room. Tickets will be available from the shop shortly, please don't hesitate to call the shop for more info. 01452 520074.
You can book directly by calling 07742 486099, introductory prices are £15.00 day ticket, £25.00 night ticket.

Hi all
It is with deep regret I have to inform you that this year's Gloucester Canal Champs will have to be postponed due to the rowing club changing the date of their regatta to the same day, with upto 200 hundred boats on the water I think this would spoil what should be a good day's fishing.
I will endeavour to find an appropriate date later in the season.
Sorry for the bad news.
