We’re still making our way through all the incredible photos from Geek Out Gloucester… and wow. 🤩📸

One thing that stood out more than anything was the amazing effort so many of you put into your cosplay. The creativity, craftsmanship and passion on display was absolutely incredible.

But the best part?

Watching the reactions of children as they saw their favourite characters come to life many for the very first time. The smiles, the excitement, the look of pure amazement… those are the moments we’ll never forget.

And it wasn’t just the children. Seeing parents smile, laugh and watch their little ones make memories that will last a lifetime reminded us what Geek Out Gloucester was really about.

It wasn’t just an event. It was a day where people of all ages came together, escaped into worlds they love, and created moments they’ll be talking about for years to come.

Thank you to every cosplayer who gave up their time, every family who came along, and everyone who helped make Gloucester’s first ever Geek Out so special.

WOW, GLOUCESTER… YOU ABSOLUTELY GEEKED OUT!

What a day. Thousands of people came together from across Gloucestershire and beyond to celebrate everything they love, proving that Geek Out Gloucester is more than just an event… it’s a community, it’s a movement.

From superheroes, cosplay and retro gaming to dinosaurs, LEGO, Jedi training, wrestling, gaming, magic and family entertainment, every corner of King’s Quarter, King’s Walk and Eastgate Shopping Centre was packed with excitement.

The smiles on children’s faces, the laughter shared by families, friends making memories together and the incredible creativity on display made this a day we’ll never forget. Look out for the pictures and videos that will be posted soon.

A huge shout-out to the .nextgen Evolution Wrestling team, who had the crowds cheering from start to finish with an action-packed show that had fans of all ages on the edge loving it! 💪🔥

Gloucester BID and Anytime Fitness will be bringing a day of FREE fitness sessions to King’s Square tomorrow, and we’d be delighted to see as many occupiers as possible join in.

Whether you want to start your day with a burst of energy, squeeze in a quick lunchtime workout, or work off a day of serving customers, there’s something for everyone!

Tomorrow’s Schedule
8:10am – HIIT (20–30 mins)
12:05pm – BoxFit (20 mins)
12:30pm – Zumba (20 mins)
5:15pm – BoxFit (20 mins)
5:40pm – Zumba (20 mins)
There’ll also be music, fitness challenges and activities between sessions if you’re passing through.

So why not swap the stockroom for a stretch, the till for a thrill, or the shop floor for the dance floor?

Gloucester feels different… and people are starting to notice.

A city built on Roman history isn’t standing still it’s evolving.

From the energy around Kings Quarter and Kings Square, to the opportunities at The Forum, the views from Hotel Indigo, the character of Eastgate, and a calendar packed with events like Geekout Gloucester… there’s a real buzz building across the city.

The best cities don’t erase their history. They build on it.
