A New Chapter Begins — James Bermingham Joins Legacy World Artists (LWA)
Delighted to share some Big News...
James Bermingham has been announced as one of the founding artists of Legacy World Artists, a newly launched London-based company created by industry figures Simon Napier-Bell, Sir Harry Cowell, and Neil O’Brien.
Legacy World Artists is built on a powerful idea — that iconic popular music can live on through a new generation of performers, not through imitation, but through interpretation. Treating classic repertoire with the same respect as classical music, the company aims to redefine how audiences experience legendary artists in a live setting.
James Bermingham Sings George Michael is among the company’s initial roster of artists, placing him within a carefully selected group of performers chosen to carry forward some of the most important catalogues in modern music.
The involvement of Simon Napier-Bell brings a unique historical connection to this repertoire. As the former manager of Wham! and George Michael, he played a pivotal role in shaping their global success — including orchestrating Wham!’s groundbreaking 1985 tour of China, the first by a Western pop act.
That legacy now connects directly to the next generation of performance, with James positioned as one of the artists entrusted to interpret and carry that music forward.
Over recent years, James has built a strong reputation performing the music of George Michael across Ireland, the UK, and internationally, delivering powerful live shows that honour the original recordings while bringing his own musical identity and production style to the stage.
A musician, producer, and arranger, James creates and develops much of the musical content behind his performances, combining authenticity with modern production and live energy.
His work to date has included large-scale theatre productions and live band performances, helping establish a growing audience for this repertoire across multiple territories.
With Legacy World Artists, that journey now expands significantly — with plans to bring these performances across Europe and into international markets worldwide.
As the landscape of live music continues to evolve, Legacy World Artists aims to bridge past and present — preserving the music, while pushing the performance forward.
For James Bermingham, this marks the beginning of a new phase on a much broader stage.
