A new carpet without the hassle of shifting everything around first 🙌

For this recent fitting, our team took care of the whole job. We moved the furniture, uplifted and disposed of the old carpet, fitted this lovely silky new carpet, then put the furniture back in place.

It’s all part of making your new flooring as straightforward as possible.

This carpet is available to order from the range in our Gravesend showroom, so pop in if you’d like to see and feel a sample for yourself.

Our showroom on wheels 🚐
Can't get into our Gravesend showroom?

No problem, we'll bring the flooring to you.

Our estimator van is kitted out with everything needed for a proper home visit. When one of our estimators comes round, they'll:

📏 Take accurate measurements
🔍 Check if any prep work is needed
🔧 Spot any accessories or finishing touches required
🏠 Talk you through the practical side of your flooring project
🎨 Show you a range of samples straight from the van

Having the samples with you means you can actually see how different colours and styles look in your own home, against your own furniture and lighting.

Once we've got the measurements and details, our showroom team will put together your quotation.

And if you'd rather see the full range, you're always welcome to pop into Gravesend's largest independent flooring showroom and borrow as many samples as you need to.

There’s a reason this is our most popular carpet...
Another installation of Cormar Primo Ultra, our best-selling carpet and a firm favourite with our customers.

This time, we paired it with Cloud 9 Connoisseur luxury underlay for that extra bit of comfort underfoot.

A great combination for a soft, comfortable finish that looks right at home. 👌

If you’re choosing a new carpet, pop into our Gravesend showroom and see why Primo Ultra is such a popular choice.

Thank You, Roger!
A big thank you to Roger for leaving us this fantastic 5-star Google review.

Roger visited us looking for the right vinyl for a new shower room, and after working through plenty of sample swatches, we helped him find the one that was just right.

We know choosing flooring can take a little time, especially when you’re comparing colours, patterns and finishes. That’s why we’re always happy for you to take your time, look through the options and ask as many questions as you need.

Roger said we were “helpful and patient” and that his chosen vinyl was promptly ordered and ready to collect just a couple of days later.

Thanks again, Roger. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and for the five stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

💧 Dealing with ground moisture the right way.

As part of this basement overhaul, we found ground moisture rising through the concrete slab. Before the new flooring could be installed, the subfloor needed the correct preparation.

For this one, we installed what we call a DPM sandwich.

First, we applied a moisture-tolerant smoothing compound to create a sound, even base. This is an important step because cracks, crevices or air bubbles underneath could compromise the liquid DPM. A smooth base also helps us achieve the correct coverage without wasting product.

Next came the liquid damp proof membrane (DPM), which creates a barrier against moisture rising through the slab.

Once cured, we applied another layer of smoothing compound over the top. This protects the DPM from damage and gives us the smooth, level surface we need before laying the new flooring.

A lot goes on underneath a finished floor that you’ll never see, but getting these stages right makes all the difference.

Do you have a carpet personality?

Some say you can tell a lot about someone from their choice of carpet. Which one are you?

☁️ Deep & fluffy – shoes off at the door, slippers on, and you're always tempted to just lie on the floor if it's soft enough.

🤍 Neutral & practical – you like things calm and easy to live with, something that just works with whatever you put in the room.

🎨 Bold & colourful – beige isn't for you. Your flooring's got a bit of personality, and you're happy to show it off.

🐾 Tough & stain-resistant – kids, pets, muddy shoes, spilled drinks... you know exactly what your carpet's up against, so you plan for it.

Some rooms are just a bit more fiddly than others… and this loft room certainly kept us on our toes! 👀

With awkward angles, two staircases and plenty of cuts to contend with, this was one of those jobs where taking your time with the prep and fitting makes all the difference.

The customer chose Primo Plus from Cormar Carpets, a 100% Easy Clean polypropylene carpet that gives you a lovely combination of comfort and practicality. A great choice for the loft room itself and both staircases leading up to it.

We carried out the full prep using Diamond gripper, paired with Cloud 9 Connoisseur underlay for a comfortable feel underfoot.

Then it was over to our in-house fitting team to get everything neatly fitted around all those angles and finish the stairs off properly.

Another one ready to enjoy 🙌
