A full ground floor transformation completed.

The original engineered wood flooring had reached the end of its life, so we removed and disposed of it before installing Floorify Ikura rigid core LVT in an elegant herringbone layout across the entire ground floor.

Herringbone never goes out of style, and with Floorify's rigid core construction, this customer now has a floor that's as practical as it is stylish.

We were delighted to donate our time and some artificial grass to all 31 plinths for the amazing bears taking part in the Wild in Art Dartford Bear Hunt. 🐻

It's been a real pleasure to support a project that brings our local community together while raising money for a fantastic cause. Seeing the colourful bears displayed across Dartford has made all the hard work worthwhile.

Our bear ' Blum ' is at the bottom of Dartford High Street and has already had 265 visitors

Some floors are all about the preparation. Others are all about the installation. This one was both.

The subfloor was prepared using Kelmore smoothing compound before we installed this stunning Amtico Decor geometric design.

Every individual piece was set out by hand and carefully centred before the borders were built up using multiple feature strips and terracotta detailing.

The finished border alone consists of:
• 3mm grey feature strip
• 6mm black feature strip
• 3mm grey feature strip
• 9mm pale terracotta feature strip
• White and terracotta diamond design
• 9mm pale terracotta feature strip
• 3mm grey feature strip
• 6mm black feature strip
• 3mm grey feature strip

The final wide terracotta border was then perfectly scribed into every skirting board and door frame for a seamless finish.

Completed during 35°C heat.
A challenging install, but one we're really proud of.

Chris joined Your New Floor through our apprenticeship scheme in partnership with FloorSkills, and he's never looked back.

In less than two years in the flooring industry, Chris achieved the fantastic accolade of Quick-Step Master Installer and became the UK's youngest ever Balterio Master Installer. An outstanding achievement that reflects his dedication, skill and attention to detail.

Not every flooring job is a wide open space. Sometimes the smallest rooms are the biggest challenge!

This recent bathroom installation certainly kept our team on our toes, with a tight working area, awkward corners, steps at the entrance and a 35mm drop to one end plus a request to raise the whole floor so there was less of a step into the shower.

We love a challenge, it's all part of what makes every project different. So we dropped 18mm structural plywood, followed by 6mm flooring grade plywood and several bags of levelling compound to straighten things up and bring the final level to the desired height.

Planning, experience and attention to detail are what help us achieve a great finish, even in the trickiest spaces. Best of all, our clients were delighted with the finished result, which is always the most rewarding part of the job.
