A Team Angler caught this magnificent 35lb 4oz mirror carp at a small 3-acre fishery in Diss.

With only 4 hours left of their 48-hour session, this angler showed persistence and dedication, and was rewarded with this incredible catch at 5am on a very cold May morning. A simple small PVA bag with ground up boilie and a bright yellow 15mm pop up on the hook did the trick.

This is a great reminder that even when it seems like the odds are against you, there's always a chance for a big catch if you stay patient and keep trying.

At this time of year, as the water temperature rises, so does the carps appetite. There's no need to put a bed of boilies out.
