Tyynikki is a new brand of carefully crafted jewellery, accessories, decorative pieces made with genuine semiprecious crystals and crystal kits

curated and compiled in-house for conscious, aesthetically driven souls. The name Tyynikki is a made up female's name, derived from the Finnish word 'tyyni'. It means calm, tranquil, serene, which are all emotions I hope to evoke with my designs and the energies of the crystals I use to make them. Tyynikki is a place to enjoy paired down Nordic design, high quality materials and dip your toes in the magical world of crystals. Whether you wish to believe in their healing qualities or not, you can also use the healing qualities as the intention, the reminder or what you wish to bring into your life. Or the life of whomever lucky soul you gift them to. The world of today is sometimes so stressful and chaotic that we can be left craving for a little escape and a mental recharge, Tyynikki is the place for just that. # # #

Did you know the Christmas cracker, a British fun holiday tradition, was invented over 150 years ago?

A London confectioner - baker Tom Smith was inspired by the French "bon bon" wrapped in twisted tissue. He added a little love note inside the wrapper and later on added the cracking sound. His son Walter added the paper hats that have evolved into the paper crowns Brits wear for their Christmas feasts on Christmas day 🌲

We've created our own modern twist of this traditional British Christmas staple. Our crackers have crystals or decorative ornaments, a gold paper crown and a little positive mantra inside to spark insights you can mull over the holidays and start the new year with.

A little bit of crystal magic to start the week ✨

These three bracelets are my personal favourites and I rarely leave the house without a bracelet stack of some sort on my wrist.

The middle KIIA bracelet is made up of Herkimer diamonds. While not as hard as genuine diamonds at 10 on Mohs Hardness scale, they come at 7-7.5 and are very strong. One of the few crystals that is unlikely to chip if dropped 😅 Due to this, their clarity and their beautiful naturally faceted double terminated shape they have gained the nickname of a diamond.

The energy of the crystal is perfect for this time of year too. With less sunlight, gloomier weather and lots of things going on from social engagements to work deadlines and such, many of us find ourselves tired and stressed. You can work with this crystal to clear away heavy energies and boost your mood with its happy, cleansing vibrations. Or just use it as a reminder to focus on these - where focus goes, energy flows 🤍
